I'm new here and am enjoying reading the forum. There's some great stuff here.
Not sure if this has been addressed on the board, but there is a lot of discussion around Michigan Lottery's Club Keno game. If you look at the FB page on the Michigan Lottery you'll see some there.
Club Keno has a $1 side bet called The Jack. It's an 8 number EP and if all 8 our hit you win the Jackpot. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 230,115.
The discussion is that the game is only paid when the Lottery wants it to be paid as opposed to the winner being won at random.
Furthermore, with over 10,000 retaliers in the state selling Club Keno and Club Keno To Go tickets it would almost seem impossible for a location to sell more than one jackpot winner.
Yesterday someone won The Jack at a location that had a winner less than 30 days ago at the same location. On top of that, Club Keno has a history of producing winners over $600 at multiple locations month after month. In some cases, single party stores have 30, 40, 50 winners over a 6 month period. yes, there are some players in the store, but not multiple draw players. Just big spenders. People that will play $200 on one draw. $20 a draw x 10 draws for one draw. Yet, they hit five spots over and over again at the same locations.
In short, the computer seems to control the payouts and the actual numbers have nothing to do with it. Plus the games aren't regulated. Sure the lottery has an audit done but not on the computers doing the drawings. Just on the money that comes in and is paid out. But the computers that control the billion plus dollars a year aren't regulated.
I'd love to hear feedback.
