Are we missing this?? If she is correct which we don't know for certain that would mean that $3 million dollar millionaire or whatever still has a jackpot out there somewhere since it isn't on the ending list...
Top prizes, not necessarily the grand prize. Could be a $20k prize left but the grand prizes are all gone.

You guys aren't going to believe the talk i just had with a district rep while at a district office.... I asked for the location list for 50x the cash and she started telling me i was crazy and foolish to chase older games. I was polite and made small talk and then she dropped the bomb on me.... She says.....
"Why do you think games go on the ending games list? You do know that when we close a retailer, we shred all open books right? And we only end a game WHEN ALL TOP PRIZES ARE ACCOUNTED FOR".
Right when she said it, i could tell she regretted saying it. She actually looked over her shoulder to make sure no one heard her.
I immediately asked her if that meant that the lottery knows when they destroy a jackpot. She literally wouldn't answer me. She thought about it for a second then said
"We know when a jackpot ticket is sold the second it's sold, between that and other info, we know when they are all gone and end a game accordingly"....
They know when they destroy a jackpot ticket. They do NOT update the site when one is destroyed.. Probably because people will start looking online for the winner, when there isn't one.
So it is pointless to play 2MJ, but Super Millions apparently has a $3M left then unaccounted for? How long until every SM book disappears now? Although who knows, since the lottery only releases the ending list how often? And the SM winner could have been destroyed the day after the list came out, marking it for the next list. Who knows?
Buried in this 400+ page thread, but someone who can find it, go back to when I think it was Skeptic who was the first to learn that 100X was no longer going to be re-orderable from the Publix he goes to as the first sign it was going on the ending games list. Looking at that timeframe , when was the last $5M or $1M claimed in that game relative to when it appeared on the list?
For 2MJ, when was the 5th jackpot reported (the one in the 213K range)? After that ticket was claimed, how many ending game reports were released before the current one that added 2MJ to the list? Come to think of it, since Adam's 2M HG win last year, how many ending reports came out before that game too appeared on this most recent list?
This info might be relevant in regards to chasing SM which hasn't hit the list yet or $20 Flamingo although there is such a gap between ending game reports that stuff could happen in b/w (lotto picking up old books to replace with new games) that takes it awhile before it shows up on the list.
The SM is curious though because we've confirmed there's no games at the warehouse and what's out there is out there. But who know's if the lottery got their hands on books since the last ending report.

Yet some places are still able to get more SM. The Jax District office had 10 books recently delivered, the Sunoco on Dean Rd in Orlando had I believe 10 books recently delivered, Niki Food store in Oviedo recently had 8-10 books delivered, and of course the notorious AK Kwik is always able to somehow get a shipment of 5-8 of them.
These books are likely being grabbed from what was the warehouse supply, and/or other books picked up by sales reps.
Honestly, even though there may be some untrue aspects of what that rep said, I think she was giving solid advice to players. She works within the lottery, and was being transparent about practices she *knows* can affect the outcome of a remaining jackpot not actually existing. Obviously, games like the $2 Holiday Gifts game are being retired due to sales and likely to push other $2 games despite there obviously being top prizes remaining (but never to be released due to poor sales rate) on that game.
With likely less than 100 SM books remaining, even if the lottery believes the final prize to still potentially be out there, such a small size of books makes it statistically unlikely to be found unless the FL Lottery specifically withheld that final jackpot book and intended for it to be released this late. This would be considered game manipulation, and could likely get the lottery sued if something like this were found to be true.

Well, that's pretty interesting. If FL does it than it's likely other states do also.
I was checking out FL lottery's website, and I looked up 50x the Cash. It shows 3 out 24 top prizes left. Ok. There is also an asterisk there and at the bottom of the page says "Denotes games that have been reordered or have been delivered to the Florida Lottery in more than one shipment." If this game and others with asterisks are ending, are they being reordered?

I don't think the lottery knows where the jackpot tickets are ahead of time. I think when they collect the open books, they bring them to the office/ destruction place and right before they are shredded they are scanned out of the system and their terminal tells them if a jackpot ticket is being destroyed. She flat out told me that even if jackpots show as remaining and the game is on the ending games list DO NOT PLAY IT.
@EMTAdam - I have a huge problem with her statement. If jackpots are still showing on the website as "remaining prizes" and they are still selling the tickets till the end date, then my opinion is that the game should still actually have those jackpots and if they already scanned the returned books and the system tells them a jackpot ticket was destroyed the lottery should have a legal and moral obligation to update the website accordingly and not mislead the public. This is so wrong on so many levels its tough to wrap my head around it. What your saying is that the lottery is scamming all of us who buy tickets on ending games showing jackpot prizes still available....which by the way is most games sooner or later. This opens up a can of worms i doubt the lottery would ever want open for the liability and loss of trust from the public could be potentially crippling to the lottery scratch off business which is a huge part of the overall revenue machine. Imagine the thousands of players including myself who bought thousands of dollars worth of 100X the cash when it was ending but still showed a $5M and 4 - $1M prizes remaining....was that a hoax or scam? If those prizes were not available yet the lottery still posted them as still "remaining prizes" on the website all the way till the game ended last June the proverbial shi* is going to hit the fan....and soon. As of a minute ago on the website....50x the cash still shows 3 jackpot prizes remaining and kings ransom still shows 3 jackpots prizes remaining, if what she said is true since they are both on the ending games list the prizes do not exist anymore which would seem to me to be some kind of fraudulent representation of jackpot prizes since the website still lists them as remaining prizes, right?

Well .. I just checked on something that i hadn't thought about. My dad claimed the 250k kings ransom ticket that i gave to him on Jan 4th. That should have reduced the total grand prizes left to 2. But..... The lottery website still shows 3 left and the game is on the ending games list...

Chew on that for a moment.
Are you implying that was the last jackpot out there to be accounted for, thus resulting in them adding it to the ending games list (according to what that one rep said) or that they suck at record keeping?

Or, both?
I'm thinking, both.
They couldn't even get the city right when my HG ticket was claimed. Said we were from Coral Springs.... Nope. Cape Coral. They aren't the brightest of people working there.

I am chewing on it and it just keeps getting worse. So your dad claimed that 250k jackpot on Jan 4th which should have reduced the remaining prizes total from 3 down to 2 BUT....the website still shows 3 jackpot prizes remaining 7 weeks later and the game is on the ending games list so there are NO MORE jackpot prizes left yet they are still selling this game at my local sunoco as of tonight???? WTF is going on?

That indeed seems to be the case. But there are games that are NOT on the ending games list that show 0 grand prizes remaining. I don't know wtf they are doing. I'm thinking whoever is in charge of updating the site needs to be fired.

Sad to hear. I gotta make some call tomorrow and see if i can find out anything. This whole thing just bugs the Shi* out of me. I always felt they were slow to update the website because its bad for business but this whole thing about the ending games and no jackpot prizes still remaining even though the website lists them is pissing me off.

If you guys think that is bad, last month they correctly reported that only 2 $1M prizes remained in the old ($25) $10M Florida Cash game. That was consistent with the recent Instant Liability Reports. A few weeks ago, they updated the website and now it shows:
The only point I will add is that I do know that the Lotto HQ finds out when a top prize ticket (drawing game or scratch-off game) is scanned at one of the self-scanners or at a retailer (even though the retailer can't cash it). I read a press release a while back where the head of their security explained that they know when someone has won a prize because once a ticket is scanned, they are notified in Tallahassee. I don't know how they could know before that point without jeopardizing security.

Yeah, what this tells me is really the only games worth playing are new games. I noticed they took their sweet time in updating FL Cash. I notice those tickets are almost impossible to sell, I'm shocked they didn't end that game with the new $25 ticket. Perhaps one or two of those $1m prizes are actually out there. Still, with 1000 books left at least, it would be expensive to try and find out...
I do have faith that both of those last two jackpots on $20 Flamingo are out there because they released those books in chronological order, and I don't think the FLL had time to "tamper" with any books in the relevant ranges for where these jackpots should be.

@gatorsrok - Now i am beginning to think we are being intentionally mislead. Why else would the lottery put out an IRL showing 2 $1M prizes remain yet update the website to show 4? Its as if they know the low number of top prizes remaining kills sales of that game so if they just juice it up a little maybe the game will sell better. Hope i am wrong about this but this entire thing stinks and a bunch of people who play scratch offs are not going to be happy after reading this.
