"Did any PB drawing ever generate the maximum ball number of 12."
Did any PB drawing ever generate numbers you've picked yourself?
There are 792 possible combinations using numbers 1 through 12, so there are 9,504 possible combinations where neither the regular numbes of the power ball are more than 12. Even using using the original matrix with "only" 55 million possible combinations, the subset with no number higher than 12 only accounts 1/5784 of them. That means the odds of any of those 9,504 combinations coming up in any given drawing are only 1 in 5784. Assuming there have been 2 drawings per week since PB started, there have been almost exactly 2300 drawings. That means that the overall chance that even one of those 9,504 combinations would ever have been drawn would only be 33% even if the matrix had never increased.
Of course if you had selected your own new combination for each of those 2300 drawings, the 2300 combinations you would have played since the game started, that would only be 1/23904 of the 55 milion possible combinations, and there would be only a 9.1% chance that any one of your 2300 combinations had ever been drawn, again based on the odds having stayed at 1 in 55 million. That's about 1/3 as likely as having a winning combination from the numbers you didin't like.
When the winning numbers are drawn they can be any of the possible combinations. Every one of them has the same chance of being drawn, and what you think about the numbers doesn't matter. All that matters is how many of the numbers that are on your ticket were drawn.
