Ridge, I was thinking that they would likely be cashed by the same person, because to me it seems like a case of somebody going to two lotto retailers near each other to buy tickets.

It may have been on purpose, though I think it's more likely that the person got mixed up as to which sets of numbers he had already bought and really, really went for the wheeling of numbers by mistake.

If it had been a larger jackpot game like MM or PB, he could have opted for the cash value on one and the annuity on the other. I can't wait to see if they report that my mixed-up numbers from a single lottoman theory is correct. Unless somebody stepped off the grassy knoll to buy an identical ticket.

Just crazy.

Another funny and interesting aspect of this story is that he or she just needed to buy 82 more sets of the same numbers to avoid paying taxes since each of the 84 tickets would have won $595 each.

Even less likely than this, I know, but still.

The IRS would have sent teams of undercover agents to the area looking for someone trying to cash the tickets. The movie might be called "Cash Me If You Can"

It would be great. The IRS agents would look like the two black-suited guys in "The Matrix" and at every stop it would be, "Yeah, a guy just cashed one a few minutes ago."

And then the lotto guy would double back around on Lomita Blvd so that he's behind the agents, watching them proceed up the street as he continues to cash tickets along the way.

They look like "birthday numbers" so maybe one ticket was bought by one family member and coincidentally another family member decided to play those numbers that day.

Most probably since it would make no sense for one person to play them twice...being pari-mutuel and all.

Same street maybe. Definately not the same block.

Website does not indicate EP or QP.

Also website had dual + signs for both zoom in and zoom out. Wonder if that is CA or Google?
