I don't have much desire to play the big jackpot games - just once in awhile when the jp is high.
I like scratch tickets.
In your circumstance, considering you are looking for what way is the best to win a large jackpot or a decent
amount of money, I'd say continue on with what you're doing with PB, MM etc. You will spend less and most likely
have the same outcome.
Think about the top prizes in an Instant game...there are most times, 5 total. Out of 5 - 7 million tickets,
what are your chances of finding one? Pretty slim. This might set someone off but think about it this way -
in a pool of jackpot game chances, you have a better chance at snagging a winning quick pick out of millions of
chances no matter where you are..Instant tickets are not floating around in some virtual pool waiting to be purchased,
they've been printed, ordered, delivered and stocked. Depending on how fast they sell and until more are ordered
say, in YOUR area, it could take months to get 'closer' to the million dollar top prize IF it's lined up to be delivered
to your area and didn't go 50 miles away from you. Get it? YOU MAY NEVER EVER BE NEAR A MILLION DOLLAR WINNER
IN YOUR WHOLE LIFETIME. OR maybe you will. If it's going to happen, you have a better chance of making it happen
with online terminal games - ie Cash 5, Match 6, PB, MM..the pool of numbers chosen from is always changing IMHHHO...
I don't think there is anything wrong with playing either game...take the chance BUT DO NOT TRY AND BUY A MILLION
DOLLAR WINNING INSTANT TICKET....chances are it's NOT going to happen. It's nice to wish, I do it all the time...it's
nice to say I'm GOING to win...I do it all the time too...doesn't mean I will but heck anyway, I know I will..j/k but
always hoping.
I enjoy playing when the big jp's go way up and love playing instants. I'm content winning $10, $20, $50, $100 or $1,000
or more...if you aren't content with that, stay with your jackpot games, keep the feeling you have about saving money
on rub offs. Actually if you can only spend a certain amount, I'd say stay with the jp because there's a much better
chance you'll be at the right time and place to purchase that winning number selection from a pool of numbers than
from a few counters of instant tickets.
Remember - you said it...there are tons of retailers across the state selling...those TOP PRIZES can be anywhere at all.
Think of the odds of finding one at your local market..it can happen but the odds must change if you're only considering
where you shop....1 in 7 million may become 1 in 700 million if you look at it as that winning ticket being at YOUR STORE,
WHEN YOU GO AND BEING THE NEXT ONE OUT. The odds are for the prizes in a game of 7 million tickets....not considering
where those tickets are delivered, when they're stocked, when they're sold, or how long they sit there
- I need a mathmatical analogy here..anyone willing to take into consideration these scenarios and how they might change
odds? Don't tell me they don't please, because they do.
Strictly speaking one person, one place, 7 million tickets, 24 hours in a day PLUS the ticket playing public in your area who
also are a stat to be considered....that's a lot to compete with.
I feel it's worth it for me to play scratch offs because I don't have to choose one over the other. I like instants win or
lose, they are fun and if I win a big prize in the process...YAY!! but if not, I'll just continue on my merry scratching way
and buy some more another day.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
