Hi all
Here is the slider program that I just finished. This is what I call a smart RNG if such a animal exist.
Program is free and comes preloaded with US games and several others. I wrote a quick instruction
set but will most likely have to answer questions along the way. Anyway, here are the download
links. This program is a stand alone and does not make changes to your computer. Use the default
install directory to ensure it all works. You will most likely get a security warning concerning the
risk of running a .exe but I the program is free of any mal-ware or other unwanted stuff. Windows
8 and 10 users may have to run in xp compatibility mode, not sure as I have not tested it. Carbob
seems to always be first to work out any issues so maybe he can let us know if any problems come
about.
P.S. Please let me know how it does with your game as it will help make improvements. Also please
test before playing as I have no idea what to expect. I just finished the program and very few back
test have been ran but I was able to get a couple 4of5 hits on my 5-39. It should be good to go
right out of the box, just load your game and go. All the config settings should be ok until we learn
more about what works best.
Enjoy, RL

Instructions, as is.
Buttons
Load-G
This opens the load source file dialog box. Once opened navigate to the
game you wish to load and either double click the file or single click the
file so that it is highlighted then click the open button. The program will
then load the game and then open the config menu.
Config
This opens the programs configuration menu. There are two sections with in
the config option. The top options allow the user to set a several options
that control how the program operates.
#1 Regression
This option can be adjusted from 1 to 5. The default setting is 1. The
regression option effects the way the probabilities are calculated.
#2 Line Stop
This value controls the number of lines generated each time the program is
ran. Once the sets generated reach this value the run process will end.
#3 Time stop
This value is in minutes and acts as a second stop value. If the program
has not generated the number of lines set in the line-stop option within
the allotted time, then the run process is aborted.
#4
samples
This option sets the number of past games to use in the analysis. The default
value is 500. Note! If the database is smaller than 500 lines you do not need
to lower this value as it will use however many lines are in the database.
#5 +/- range.
This option works with the master slide. Lets say that this value is set to 1
and the master slide is set to 0.60. The program will allow sets within the
range of 0.50 to 0.70. If this value is set to 0 then the master slide controls
the lines generated to exact values.
#6
CPU usage.
This value controls the load placed on the CPU during the run/generation process.
If other programs do not respond well when running at the same time then lower
this value. My computer will generate around two thousand lines per second when
this option is set to 3. All computers run at different speeds so adjust to your
needs
Bottom options.
These options are pre-set when the game is loaded and should not be changed.
Number = number games
Pick-3 = pick-3 daily games
pick-4 = pick-4 daily games
Header = Number of header lines at the top of the database
Start = The number of spaces from the left to the first digit in the first
number in the database
Pool size = the total numbers that make up the games matrix.
Balls drawn = numbers drawn in a single game.
Bonus drawn = the number of bonus balls drawn in a single game.
Press the red X in the upper right of the configuration utility to save and
exit the config option
Update
This button opens the manual database option. There are options for both number
and single digit games. Just select the numbers or digits for the drawing indicated
by the date listed above the entry box. If the game has a bonus number
then add that last.
Note! the date shown can be edited by placing the mouse pointer on the month,
day or year and then left or right click to change the value.
Options
#1 clear selections
#2 Input buttons either digit 0 to 9 or 01 to 99.
#3 Exit and save
#4 Exit without saving
Data-B
This button has both a left and right clik. Left click opens the loaded game
database. R-click opens a file called Prob.txt. The prob.txt shows the data
that has been pre calculated by the program which is used to calculate the
probability for each slider.
A-Tune
The program has 13 conditions that it places on each line generated. The A-tune
sets the sliders to the probability for each condition showing in the next game.
Re-Cal
If any of the sliders are manually changed then this re-calculates the internal
values used during the run process. This option should be used anytime a slider
or sliders are changed.
Run
This runs the program, the program will stop automatically when either the stop
value is reached or the time-stop value is expired.
Abort
This will force the run process to stop at any time. The (Q) key on the keyboard
can also be pressed to end the run process.
Optimise
This is a auto filter option that can reduce the number of lines that were produced
by the generator. This filter removes lines that have match all but one number of
another line. If a daily game is loaded then it acts like a box filter removing
any 3 digit line that exist more than once. Example. 123 132 213 231 etc.. all
have the same 3 digits. The program would keep the 123 and remove any other line
with digits 123 in any order.
View
This opens the file where the lines generated are stored. The lines can also be
printed if needed using notepad and a connected printer
Erase
This option erases any lines stored in the sets file.
Exit
This option exits the program and should always be used to close the program so
that all user settings are saved. Note! the program saves all settings for the
loaded game. When/if another game is loaded the user will need to run the A-tune
option so that the sliders are adjusted to the new game. The config settings for
the database are auto updated each time a game is loaded.
Keyboard options
The keys A to N can be used to open a bias search tool that can be used to adjust
the probabilities for each slider. If through the search tool the user expects
that the probability is lower or greater than the a-tune option predicts then the
slider can be adjusted up or down. Note! remember to press the Re-Cal button after
making changes to the slider/sliders. The bias tool is activated by left or right
clicking the red +/- area left of the data-string.
Sets->
This small window shows the number of lines that have passed conditions set by the
sliders.
Operating notes.
Once 13 condition sliders are set the master slider will most likely need to be
fine tuned. The A-tune and Re-cal sets the master slider to the highest value
that should be used. If the program does not generate any lines after a brief
time then abort the run process and move the slider down a little then run again.
If the run process generates sets very quickly then adjust the master slider up
a small amount. This program is new and I do not know what the best settings will
be. I hope that many will post their results so improvements can be made along the
way. When I coded the conditions I made them so they could be easily replaced as
needed to improve the program. I Hope to get feedback from users as it will help
me decide what needs changing along the way.
