For years I've been feeling like I am destined to win a major jackpot. I've had a rough life and have struggled with financial issues for most of my adulthood. I am a single mother of two with no financial support from their dad (yet he's supporting his girlfriend's 4 children). I took my children's father to court and with two children I was awarded a whopping $36 per month and he still refuse to pay that! Throughout the 7 years that my ex-fiance and I been broken up (I called of the engagement due to him having another woman pregnant while I was pregnant with our son) he has only given me $65 for the care of our children. With all that being said, I feel like the universe will bless me so I can care for my children the way they deserve and to help other single mothers in my position.
I played numbers surrounding my children. 2 for how many children I have, 9 for my daughter's birth month, 11 for my son's birth month, 22 for old I was when I had my daughter, 23 for old I was when I had my son, and 12 (megaball) for my son's birth date. I played these numbers on a regular, missing a day occasionally, since 2009. I recently experienced a lot of painful events including losing my sister to suicide leaving my little niece behind, lost my home to foreclosure, was in a car accident leaving me immobile, and unemployed. With all of my recent misfortunes there could not have been a better time for a financial blessing.
On June 2, 2015, the Mega Millions jackpot had reached $260 million dollars. That day I only had $17 to my name. I decided not to play because I needed gas money to get my children to and from school. I had played my lucky numbers the week before, but just wanted to do the responsible thing on June 2nd by not gambling my last few dollars. Well sure enough I checked the numbers a few days later and saw my pet numbers 2-9-11-22-23 and mega ball 12. My heart dropped! I couldn't believe that the numbers that I've been playing for years were right there in my face. I was sick to my stomach and spent most of my day in the bed for about 2 days.
For the most part I try not to dwell on the could've, would've, should've, but from time to time I get down thinking about my missed opportunity. I still know deep down in my heart and soul that I will win the lottery, I just hope that it will happen before my children are grown. I visualize and meditate about winning the lottery on a daily basis. Despite me not winning on June 2, 2015, I am still winning as I will be graduating with my degree in December!!
So my message to all us lottery-winner hopefuls is to never give up on your lucky numbers! If you feel it in your heart never give up on your dream!! Best of luck to you all!
First thing in the morning you shower, shave, and ****
You sit down at the computer and drink coffee and eat your grits
The anticipation has built and the caffeine high is flowing
You got's to win this major jackpot you ain't joking!

If the chances of winning the jackpot are so slim, why play when the jackpot is so small? Your chances never change, but the potential payoff does.
If a crystal ball showed you the future of the rest of your life, and in that future you will never win a jackpot, would you still play?

I have a set of 30 numbers I only play when the jackpot is over 200 million. I have no idea what those numbers are and don't want to know. I take them to the machine to check and if they win I go to the clerk and get my 2 or 4 dollars. I got 30 quick pics a while ago and just decided to keep those numbers. I put them on a slip and just play the slips when the jackpot is high, and like I said, I don't know what those numbers are since I don't play them regularly.

I'm not sure if this is a great lesson or just a sad story. I don't have specific numbers that I play for the MM/PB or even Ohio's CL because A) I have never had good luck with any specific number (unless you count wife #3, she's worked out well) and B) the exact same situation you describe here. I try to play every drawing, but life often intervenes and sometimes I don't make it to the store to get my numbers.

That's the reason I don't have any lucky numbers I constantly play even though I have on occasions played my birthday with that of another family member and matched 4of6 years ago in Ohio's Super Lotto. I run a check on it from time to time an when ever it has had a partial hit I would have spent more playing it every drawing than I would have won.
I feel your pain but unless you play the winning numbers, they aren't your numbers and neither is the jackpot.
I totally agree with RjOh 100%! The jackpot only belongs to the winner of the prize if someone actually wins that jackpot!
Smart lottery winners form trust to claim their winnings. They send an attorney to the lottery headquarters to claim the prize in trust, so that ONLY the name of the trust is revealed. And they tell NO ONE, especially relatives.
If you ever win a lottery and you are single, the only person you should ever marry is someone who was truly in love with you BEFORE you won the jackpot!
People can talk about strategies and gimmicks all they want, but unless your ticket actually matches at least 5 of those 6 balls, you are just another person who tried to win a game yet ultimately failed.

<snip>, that's gotta suck.
But to be honest seeing how 1$ is enough I find it hard to believe someone doesn't have 1 single $, I'd flip the cushions and check my car ashtray for quarters. Unless those numbers are played in every lottery, then it adds up, 1$MM, 2$ PB, 2$ 6/49 etc.
Wishing OP the best for a future win, obviously.
