  Boring game, AMEN, agreed but a total of $$$132.5 Million for a hold % of10.1 will be remembered as a big win for producing a record wagering handle in Nevada according to figures just released by the Nevada Gaming Board.

  More On Super Bowl from Las Vega$

  The ratings for Super Bowl 50 on CBS were boffo, the second-highest of all time. In Las Vegas, the numbers were even bigger.

  Gamblers wagered a record-breaking amount of money on the game, a whopping $132.5 million.

  And all that money resulted in what Wynn Las Vegas executive director Johnny Avello called "a very good day" in an interview with the Associated Press.

  Most of the money in Vegas was on the Denver Broncos, with money pouring in on theCarolina Panthers from the get go and remaining heavy on Carolina for the two weeks leading up to the game.

    Getting a low-scoring defensive battle didn't hurt things either.

  “A defensive battle was something we were rooting for and fortunately, that's exactly what it was,” Jay Kornegay of the Westgate Las Vegas told the AP.

  Late money came in on the Broncos according to Kornegay, and Vegas would've preferred the Panthers to win but not cover. But all in all it was another big win for Vegas.

  According to ESPN, this was the eighth-straight winning Super Bowl for Vegas, with the last loss coming when the Giants stunned the previously Patriots in 2008.

  The American Gaming Association also estimated that Americans bet $4.2 billion on Super Bowl 50 in illegal wagers.
