Hello everyone ! I'm new here and have been lurking for some time!
I won $20 on a "Chili Pepper Payout", which is a $5 ticket. Went in and got ONE more, and won another $20.
A week later, I won $77 on a $2 777 ticket!
This is what had me hooked.
Unfortunately, this had lead to me being addicted. I bought a 4 $5 ticket's today, won $20. (They were the new "$50,000,000 PA tickets) Went in and by some twisted logic figured that I could at least get a profit, I bought 4 more $5, won another $20. LOL! I should have stopped there because once again I was just CONVINCED I could get $100 bucks and leave happily. I left with no profit. That made me feel terrible because I am new and terribly naive to these cards. What ones are crap, not worth it, which have less risk but cost more.
So I thought to myself tonight - I'm going to quit playing like a maniac. I will still play one time a week (Dependant on the price) and get over the fact that I just had a few lucky days, but I am approaching the red! It's all fun and games when you're playing with lottery money you won, all starting from a single $5 bill, but I don't wanna go negative over something that was a simple as "Hm, maybe I should grab a ticket!".
Keep in mind, before this (I'm 24) I have never touched one in my life. The thought never occurred.
However, buying a $20 ticket or 2 a month seems attractive because as I've read on here, it seems to be the best bet.
If I'm from PA and trying to go big (For me, at least) and win $100 off a ticket, what is my best bet?
I've purchased a $10 ticket in the past won nothing. For most people who play that's normal, but like I said, it was an awful feeling.
From what I've gathered here ( Just by reading ) , this is what I've gotten on the favorable price of cards.
$1 - No use, waste of money
$2 - Some have said they are much better than fives, usually getting you $10 - $20, others have said - JUNK.
$3 - Not heard much on them, saw someone won $50 on a Yatzee card!
$5 - Either "Better odds than the $2" or "$5's are crap! Get 2', $2's instead"
$10 - Waste of money as well, just go for the $20
$20 - Most of the time you get a winner, mainly being $100. Ironically, most of you who have posted about buying multiple have had worse luck than those who bought one!
$30 - Still up for judgement, a menacing and expensive price, I'll still with 20's.
