Pennsylvania had a raffle on July 9th, 2016. Last year, the PA lottery announced it was going from two raffles per year to four. They held one last Fall, another at New Years 2016, and also on St Patrick's day. I've been watching the PA Lottery's website for an announcement of a Fall 2016 raffle, but so far nothing has been posted. I would think they would have to put something out there soon because the tickets are on sale for two months.
There was a PA Lottery raffle thread here at The LP for both the Spring and Summer 2016 raffles. In the last thread, a comment was made that The PA Lottery may stop holding a raffle every three months because neither the Spring or Summer raffle sold out. In their old schedule of two raffles per year (New Years and 4th of July) they had no problem selling all 500,000 tickets. Some speculated that "raffle fatigue" had set in with players in PA. I kind of think there maybe some truth to that. Every six months seems to light players up about buying a raflle ticket, but every three months, maybe not so much. So we'll see.
I too am a big fan of raffles. I live in New York, but I'm within easy driving distance of PA, so I dont mind travelling to get tickets. I have a brother who lives in Tampa, and I had him buy me a raffle ticket for Florida's last raffle. Are you saying that Florida is having a raffle in the Fall? The reason I ask is because I have not heard about Florida doing any raffles for the rest of 2016.
As for Connecticut, I dont know why, but they no longer hold their twice per year "SuperDraw" Raffle. It used to be 275,000 max tickets sold, $10 each, and one winner of $1,000,000. I also live about 45 minutes from the NY/CT border, so I used to play it too. Thanks in advance for any info you may be able to share. G5
