  ok so I must be outdated or something but this is news to me. Opened my United kindom lotto app today to check the results of the thunder all and lotto hotpicks I played yesterday to realise y app features had changed now including egamillions powerball and cash for life. I didn't know UK citizens could play those games outside the USA. Apparently it can be done online through <snip>. Interesting!! am I the last to know about this? And if that's the way the game is changeing it's only fair that U.S. Residence should be able to play UK games too.

  Not quite true that it is tax free.  If you won in the UK, the US would still deduct taxes before giving you the cheque, but you would be able to claim that US tax as an expense on your UK tax return and it would all be settled up between the governments under the provisions of the tax treaty.
