We all need friends but we do not need friends that is after our money.

If you make new friends after winning the lottery and they ask you for money like $100. Say "no, I don't know you that well." Be nice. No reason to ruin your reputation.

If they get mad because you didn't give them money, text them a message saying, "bye" and don't talk to them ever again.

Basically what I said was, troll the hell out of these people.

See how many "loyal" friends you make. BTW people can fake being loyal.

My replies to anyone wanting money are:

1/ "I don't have $100,but do you have $200?" (that usually leaves them lost for words)

2/ "I'll tell you what I can do. I can't lend you money at this point in time.But when you get paid,you can give me $50 or $100,and the next time you want a loan,I can loan you back what you gave me.And when you get your next pay,you give it back to me for me to loan back to you again for another rainy day."

The response I get from #2 suggestion is. "But that is my money you'll be keeping". I reply "too right.It's exactly the same scenario if you borrowed my money outright".

The underlining point is that years ago, I used to lend to a friend until his payday. Took me a few months to realise that as soon as I was paid back the money,a few days later,I was bitten by another loan from the same friend. I said to him that the lending had to stop. I explained that I wasn't seeing that money but for only a few days. Hence my solutions above.

People will only use you if you let them.

Begin thinking like a millionaire. You will be able to hire a financial advisor who will be the bad cop to your good cop. This "Money Manager" will ask your "friend" the questions that need to be asked.

Your "new friend" may not even contact your money guy after you refer him to your bad cop.

You can afford the help you will need as a millionaire.

You may say to yourself, "But I have never been a millionaire before!". Start thinking like one now.
