hello, I agree with you, aquarius, we still have the tendency for numbers to come to equilibrium, in cycles, in the last digit (0 to 9), in frequencies, and in repetitions

I'm not disagreeing with you that patterns exist today and in the future (any pattern, single digit, pair, difference between min and max, anything you can thing of... the possibilities are limitless).

The problem is that you don't know what the pattern will be in the future. THAT is random. Make sense?

There are many patterns in the drawing history for any lottery game.
Problems is that they don't stand and hit you in nose.
You have to find them.
I've discovered that the best way to expose noteworthy patterns is to generate tracking charts that reveal events and features not
readily apparent when you evaluate the activity of 70 dead as dirt objects in a single vessel.
I use the power of substitution to the fullest extent possible.
The only problem is that my 'educated guesswork' is causing me to have bad dreams about 'missing by one.'
It's really strange to me that the mathematicians who are always pushing odds, probability, statistics, percentages never
offer any evidence that they have used their knowledge to win anything.
Yes, many folks are winning everyday - thanks to their hard work and dedication, in spite of the continuous warnings from the math experts that lottery games are random and can't be won with personal lottery workouts.
I find that the warnings that draw history has no useful purpose to be just a lot of bluster by folks who are standing on a games' design parameters rather than real world results.

I have a DOS based wheel making program that uses decades as standard filters. The 6/49 and 5/39 games always have at least 2 numbers in one decade because the 6 number lotto has five decades and the 5 number game has four; every possible combo has 2 numbers from one decade. PB and MM have more decades than the 5 numbers they draw, but the majority of combos have at least 2 numbers from one decade.

IMO all lottery bets are conditional including finding and playing the numbers that fall into patterns. It would help if the patterns were identified so we could look for and take advantage any anomalies.

The odds of a digit repeating is 1 in 10, the odds of two digits repeating is 1 in 100 and the odds of all three digits repeating are exactly the same as any other three digit number being drawn, 1 in 1000. There are lots of examples where two digits repeat in the same digit position in every pick-3 and pick-4 games.

Jerry and Marge Selbee saw the flaw in Michigan's version of Cash Winfall in 2003 and played and won more money in Massachusetts when the Michigan game ended. They didn't find any patterns, a magical system, or a way to cheat, but took advantage of the prize roll down when the jackpot reach a certain level. Them and the MIT students bet enough on drawings to trigger the roll down and getting paid much more on the secondary prizes.

In any lottery I look for trends in the input, the numbers from which winners are drawn (0-9 in Pick 3, 1-49 in 6/49 etc). I do not bother to look for relationships in the output - the winning sets (1000 combos in Pick3, 12+ million lines in 6/49), as for me it's an exercise in futility. The smaller the pool of numbers to analyse the easier it is to spot trends.

I go for simple but easy to compute statistics - hot, cold, repetitive, due, overdue and growing trend. These are easy to monitor from draw to draw. Obviously the stats for all these will fluctuate constantly and so will have to be recalculated with every draw.

An example for Pick 3 for number stats in 15 day period for Wisconsin Pick 3 some time in the past.

0 ---> 6 times

1 ---> 2 times

2 ---> 4 times

3 ---> 6 times

4 ---> 4 times

5 ---> 6 times

6 ---> 7 times

7 ---> 3 times

8 ---> 4 times

9 ---> 3 times

An observation: number 6 did not end up on top of the chart in one day, for some time it showed a growing (or at least steady) trend. Number 1 did not end at the bottom in one day either. These trends did last for a while for both numbers. How about other numbers? They may show similar trends. Group numbers with similar trends together and wheel.

I assume you would like to see a visual evidence of what I mean. I ran a simulation for Wisconsin Pick 3 for 49 weeks. The results (actual backtrack screen shots) were posted on Pinterest under the tag Lotterix. Any series of wins indicate a presence of a trend. Each trend could be observed as it occurred. I picked only one trend for each week although on numerous occasions there were multiple longer lasting trends (minimum 5 wins per week).

The same principles may be applied to any jackpot lottery. Because of larger pool of input numbers the scale of difficulty in detecting trends is significantly greater.

The expected probability generally refers to a long run averages. I analyse only short term trends (15-30 draws for Pick 3, 25-100 draws for jackpots).
