Although I've no clue if anybody still reads this thread or not, here's a nice (not to mention very useful) tidit of FF5 info....
Number 5 is one of the four remaining numbers that have yet to be drawn in July. Not only that, #5 has now skipped the last 38 FF5 drawings. Skipping 38 drawings means that #5 is approaching "The Wall" which means it's close to having sat out a record number of drawings that most numbers have never exceeded. Number 5 cant break through "The Wall" because 38 drawings is almost the record at which numbers simply can't or don't exceed. Do yourself a favor and play #5. You'll very likely be glad that you did.
Here's the other three numbers that have not yet been drawn in July =====> 12, 21 & 30. It might pay nice dividends to start playing those too. G5

There are times that ya gotta eat a little crow......
Well it's crow eatin' tome for me. Since March 20th of 2022, FF5 has had two drawings per day. Since then, one number skipped 60 drawings (from July 2, 2023 to August 1, 2023) and that's the record that has not been broken. #29 is the number that sat out those 60 consecutive drawings and set the record for the most number of drawings skipped. So #5 is NOT even close to "The Wall" I wrote about in my post.
Where I got the "38 drawings is almost the record at which numbers simply can't or don't exceed" is a mystery to me! 60 drawings skipped is where The Wall is located.
Geez, I didn't know that Crow kinda tastes like chicken. G5
69th hit of the year for #28 and #12 hit for the first time in July
And then there were three ,,,, #5, #21 & #30 that have yet to be drawn in July. And,,,,,,, #5 has now sat out the last 41 consecutive drawings.
That makes me think that #5 will pop soon. G5
Last nights winning numbers =====> 5 6 23 31 32 Now there are 2 numbers yet to be drawn in July =====> 21 & 30
Well there's #5. Did you play it??? There aint anybody else here besides me so I dont know why I asked. Probably nobody who comes here played it, and besides that, there was not a jackpot winner anyway. There was another rolldown. That's the 12th rolldown of the 18 drawings held to date in July.
This forum is indicative of what's happened all across Floria with FF5. There were 60 FF5 drawings in June. 26 of them were ROLLDOWNS! That's almost half of the drawings held in June and players have simply lost interest in playing FF5.
While lower ticket sales mean lower jackpots, they also mean lower coverage of the possible 376,992 five number combinations in a 5/36 matrix. If there isn't adequate coverage of the 376,992 combo's, then that's when you'll see a low jackpot or a rolldown.
Due to the extra drawing per day, players all across Florida have voted with their dollars, and aren't buying FF5 tickets like they used to due to the low jackpots and rolldowns. Rolldowns and low jackpots beget even more low jackpots and more rolldowns. It's a vicious cycle. This thread in the Pick5 Forum is seeing the same thing happening. People aren't playing FF5 so why bother to read this thread? Cant say as I blame players for that.
Dont count on The Florida Lottery to do anything about it. Even though they dont have the revenue generator they once had with FF5, when there was one drawing per day, The Florida Lottery is not going to go back to one drawing per day. That's because it's too hard to do that. Florida LAWS govern the official rules of every lottery game played in Florida. (Online games and scratch offs too) In order to change the official rules of the game, they'd have change the LAW governing FF5's official rules. That means the legislature would have to have a new bill introduced to the legislature, they'd have to vote to approve it, and The Governor would have to sign the new bill for it to become law.
That's simply not going to happen. Enjoy all the low jackpots and rolldowns. G5

Last night's winning numbers =====> 6 8 16 18 21
Something unusual happened last night. It was the fifth consecutive drawing where #6 was drawn. It's run started with Tuesday's Evening drawing and continued straight through until last night. Rare thing to happen.
#21 showed last night and now there are no numbers that haven't been drawn in July. G5

Has it seemed to you that #6 has been coming out a little bit more than usual these days?
If so, then your powers of observation are rather good. #6 has 10 hits this month and is the lead dog to the feeding trough....
But wait! There are a slew of numbers following #6, all chomping at the bit to take the lead... #'s 16 & 25 (one should never count out #25) are lying in wait with 9 hits each. #25 is the second strongest number of 2024 with 67 hits. To use an analogy from professional boxing, #25 may in in fact "put #6 on Queer Street". (a fighter on Queer Street is said to be lying unconscious face down on the canvas floor of a boxing ring) When they wake him up and lead him back to his corner on wobbly legs, that fighter is said to to be "in a blue funk". That's because everything the fighter is seeing is blue and he feels weird.
And so it remains to be seen, will #25 or #16 put #6 on Queer Street only to be woken up in a blue funk? Tim will tell, time will tell. G5

I haven't been playing FF5 recently. Instead I've been buying JPT tickets because the jackpot was 2 million dollars. One winner in Pompano Beach last night....
BUT!!! I had three winning tickets and won $22 with one of them, $5 on another, and one of them won a Free Ticket. I'll take it.
Last night's FF5 winning number were =====> 3 17 21 28 33 75th hit of 2024 for #28. It's running away with the lead. 2nd place goes to #'s 14 & 25 with 69 hits each. G5

Just to show you how strong #28 is, it's ranked fifth in the entire history of FF5, ranked second in the last rolling year with 115 hits, is ranked #1 in 2024 with 75 hits and is ranked fifth in July with 9 hits.
Number 25 is ranked first in the last 730 drawings with 116 hits, ranked second in 2024 with 69 hits and is in third place with 11 hits in July.
You'd do well with #14 too. It's ranked second with 115 hits in the most recent last one years worth of drawings, second in 2024 with 69 hits, and in second place in July with 12 hits. I hope you're playing all of them often. G5

I've always liked JTP. Tomorrow's jackpot is $275k which will pay out about $174k according to the prize list. I think you gave us some basic info about the game before. Would you delight us again with like hottest number of the year, overall top number? Thank you! No pressure though. I normally get QP's anyway!

JPT's hottest number all time (574 drawings) is #2 with 93 hits. Tonite's draw will be the 575th JPT drawing since 2/1/2019.
Hottest number in the most recent 104 draws is #41 with 22 hits.
Hottest number since January 1, 2024 (61 drawings) is #44 with 14 hits. (two numbers are ranked second with 13 hits. They are - #'s 3 & 16. There are two numbers ranked third with 12 hits - #'s 29 & 41. There are four numbers ranked fourth with 11 hits each - 1, 13, 23 & 24.
Hottest JPT numbers in July were #'s 16, 24 & 44 with four hits each.
The only gripe I have with JPT is the jackpot is an advertised jackpot. When it was two million, (the advertised amount) the lump sum/cash option payout was 1.2 million. Minus taxes, players would net less than one million. (Not that almost a "cool mill" is something to sneeze at) On 2/20/2024 a jackpot winner of $250,000 netted $151,500 before taxes. So don't let those advertised jackpots fool you. JPT is structured very similarly to MM and PB, in that it has a big advertised amount but net payouts to players end up being far less. I still take it, but GEESH! G5

In last night's FF5 drawing, #28 popped for the 77th time this year and is running away with the lead. The closest number to it is #14 with 72 hits.
I won $7.50 and three Free Tickets the previous time #28 came out. I played 10 lines and had at least one winning number on all ten lines of my ticket. I had a "one off" too, which would have gotten me $15.00 and two Free Tickets. Had there been no jackpot winner and a rolldown happened, I might have won around $40 bucks. $7.50 aint much, but a win is a win. G5

With regard to JPT, I have a new strategy to pick my numbers and it seems to be working out OK. I won some cash using it a week ago today.
First, when I play JPT, which is only when the jackpot is a million dollars or more, I play at least one number from the previous draw (a repeater) and one or two adjacent numbers from the previous drawing. I play five games, and I always buy The Combo option, so each ticket costs me two dollars, and all five tickets cost me ten bucks.
In July 26th's draw, I matched three numbers on one line and by doing that, I won 2 bucks. Because I bought The Combo, and had a total of seven numbers on that same ticket, I won $20. Therefore I won a total of $22 with that ticket. On another of my tickets, I matched a total of five numbers (spread out over all three lines on the ticket) and thanks to my Combo bet, I won another $5. My total winnings were $27, and I also had a couple of Free tickets with my other three tickets.
I've used this strategy three times, and this was the first drawing where it paid me cash. The other two times I used it, I won some Free Tickets. G5

Some FF5 player's are pretty slick....
On August 1, in a Publix in Tallahassee , someone cashed a FF5 ticket that had won a Free Ticket. They then bought a player picked ticket with the exact same set of five numbers that appeared on their Free Ticket. Each ticket won $29,517.
The slick player won one half of the jackpot, (a total of $59,034) while the other two players each won $29,517. Had the slick player not done what they did, there would have been a three way split, and all three players would have won $39,356.
Essentially the slick guy took $10,000 away from each of the other two winners. Not too shabby..... G5

The above post is about what I call a "Lottery fluke". And that's the thing about playing the lottery... lottery flukes happen a lot more than most people realize. Conventional wisdom says that flukes should never happen, except they do happen!
I'm not the type of player that would do what the guy in Tallahassee did. Matter of fact, the thought of playing the same set of five numbers that I got on a Free Ticket has never even occurred to me. But lots of lottery players do kookie things like that, and they do it every day. When they don't win anything, nobody knows they did what they did. But if they win a big prize doing something kookie, well then it becomes news and gets put in all of the newspapers.
I guess I'll have to start thinking outside of the box and do kookie things too. Maybe I'll win big doing it. G5

I cashed in 5 free ticket winners on Wed, July 31 for evening. I noticed that there were several duplicate numbers. I took the duplicate numbers (14 28 30) and played them last night, Aug 1. Won $10! Definitely need to find some kooky, G5!
