South Carolina Lottery

South Carolina one of the latest states to adopt the fast-growing draw game

By Kate Northrop

Cash Pop is coming to yet another state after the South Carolina Lottery announced that it will be adding the game to its lineup this month.

Starting Jan. 17, 2022, South Carolina Lottery players will have their own chance to try the new Cash Pop draw game that is quickly spreading across state lines.

Last month, the Florida Lottery announced that it would be releasing its own Cash Pop game, drawn locally in-state. Tickets for the draw game in the Sunshine State officially went on sale Monday.

Virginia is also adding the game to its lineup later this month.

South Carolina's version of Cash Pop will feature similar rules as other states offering the game.

Players select a $1, $2, $5, or $10 wager amount per number played and choose one or more numbers between 1 and 15, each number being called a "Pop." Alternatively, players may select a Quick Pick to have the terminal randomly generate one number, or filling in the "Cover All" option will play all 15 numbers and guarantee a win.

Rather than waiting for a drawing to see what prize your numbers win, the Cash Pop ticket's cash prize is instantly printed on the slip at the time it is purchased. Should a player's number(s) match the winning number drawn in the next consecutive drawing, they will win the prize printed on their ticket.

The highest prize for a $1 wager is $250, while a $10 wager offers a chance to win up to $2,500.

There will be two South Carolina Cash Pop drawings per day — at 12:59 pm and 6:59 pm EST — except for Sundays, which will only have the evening drawing.

Evening drawings held at 6:59 pm will be aired live on local television stations, but midday drawings at 12:59 pm will not be televised.

Players may also play the same numbers for up to six consecutive drawings, beginning with the next available draw.

All Cash Pop winning numbers, prizes, and odds will be published on Lottery Post's South Carolina Lottery Results page right after each drawing.

Perhaps all the participating states could join together and then the amounts paid out could be higher?

The most stupidest game ever.  Just another way for states to make money.

I am looking at the title of this thread and for some reason I am not seeing the P.

I am thinking Cash Poo? Thats a weird game.

And then I look.  This is not the mystical thread.

They should get a game in San Francisco where they have Poop patrol from all the homeless doing their business publicly.

They should call it Lotto Poo Poo.

It could be marketed exclusively to homeless people down on their luck.

Instead of paying for lottery tickets with money, they could turn in five used heroin needles or five pounds of poo.Puke

Not that would be Progressive!!

And instead of winning money, the homeless can get 30 minutes time to ransack Rodeo Drive for Louie Vitton bags, and they can burn down a wendys too!

You can thank me later Nancy!!!

You could have bonus Saturdays, where the winner gets their own personal portapotty with lock and key.Cool

I knew voting Democrat had its privledges.

I Agree! Quite an unworthy lottery.   Wish it would go away in Kentucky...but I don't play, so voting with my wallet.

Oh Gawd!!!

Is there a vaccination for this game?  Can the Michigan lottery get vaccinated against Cash Pop?

A Cash Pop vaccine should be mandated for all state lotteries!

Florida's Cash Pop has a 1,2,5 dollar wager. Overall odds are 1:15 so a 7% chance of winning a prize. Florida's minimum prize starts at 5x the bet. I will buy a ticket or two this Sunday to see how I do.

I wish cash pop can come to new York too.

We received two Cash Poop tickets in the mail from a KY friend.  Each cost $10, one not a winner and other a whopping $5.

Actually seems OK to me.  2 Cash Pop tickets, and one's a winner?  Although I'm questioning how a $10 ticket could have a $5 prize.  You sure you got that right?

Yeah, the minimum prize for a $10 ticket in KY is $50 so they might have looked at it wrong.

Good Luck, Chris

That's what I was told in the other room.   It had to be equivalent, right?  Scanned on the phone.   Mine definitely said 'Sorry, not a winner. OK?'

I'm thinking it was probably a $1 ticket rather than $10, in which case you came out of it with $5 from a $2 wager.

You must be correct; I never looked at the other ticket.   Otherwise nobody would even entertain the thought the playing!

From the KY Lottery:

"ONE NUMBER WINS IT EVERY 4 MINUTES SEE CASH POP RULES"

The results of those drawings were probably known before your friend got into their vehicle.

In another game, Fast Play players get immediate results. They can buy, scan their ticket and know if it won before the ink dries. That game currently has a $223,021 rolling jackpot, but a $1 ticket only gets 10% of the jackpot. Must buy a $10 ticket to get the full jackpot ($2 tickets jackpot winners get 20% and $5 wins 50%).

Pretty sure the South Carolina Lottery people researched other lotteries with similar type games before deciding to offer it in their state.

I know Fast Play is offered in other states and have played it once in a while.  You correctly stated the rules for it!

I'm in FL and gave it a shot the other day. I didn't know you couldn't pick the drawing you wanted to play. I picked 2 #'s and put $2 on each. One would have been worth $14 and the other $20. I actually won on the $20 ticket (obviously beginners luck). When I cashed it in, the cashier kept talking about how dumb it was which I found funny since I had won. I won't play again though.

$20 isn't a lot but not bad. I bought two QP's for $2 each. However the lottery terminal gave me the same number on each play. One was $10 the other $40. Needless to say I lost because my number didn't come up. I'll continue play Cash Pop though to see what I can hit.

These states all preach "responsible gambling" and then they offer a game like "Cash Pop" that is squarely targeted towards attracting inexperienced, young players. Much like the way the cheaper, brightly-colored scratchoffs are at the bottom of the vending machine where the 4- and 5-year Olds can see them. I'm gonna puke...

Cashed a Keno ticket at a Kiosk and played all but $2. The Cash Pop game has 4 options, $1, $2, $5, and $10 so I hit the $2 button believing I'd get a $2 ticket, but it was a $1 ticket for two games. Maybe the $10 ticket you got was $1 for ten games and that would explain the $5 win.

Yeah yeah but since everyone dream numbers dropping  SCEL  can y'all drop my dream numbers 9090 that I've been running a year and days now🤦🏿‍♀️THANK U N ADVANCE...
