It probably would depend from what country you are in. Taking a 30% FED tax and taking the NY state tax would be best if you won 'the big one'. You could flee the 'Great Satan(sp?) America' without paying the max income rate at the end of the year when you file your tax return...or not file. I have to wonder if I could file under a foreign corp. to get a tax cut if I ever won 'the big one'. If you are from a country like China, you will probably end up with 20 cents on the dollar. All countries have a different tax rate on foreign 'profit'. If your Canadian or British?....don't know. We have to many tax rules and loop hole in America. Well, that's my worthless infomation.

EZ: The only reason I'm making this suggestion is because the NY Lottery is NOT allowed to let players choose AFTER they win. Since almost all players want the lump sum anyway, and that NY finally has a multi-state game, changing the NY Lotto game to include an all-cash format should seriously be considered.

they give you the option before you play. plain and simple. if you dont have any idea how the game works you shouldnt play.
