  Mega Millions already has the longest jackpot odds of any US lottery game. Will Texas joining mean the 10 existing states already having to print new betslips?

  Maybe they wont change the odds...maybe they will just add the multiplier....which would probably help

  I believe that when the BG changed to MM and the matrix was changed, they put enough "wiggle" room in to handle the states that came in at that time and a state the size of TX or CA. I remember the scuttlebutt at the time was that it was assumed that the big holdouts (TX, CA) would soon have to explore a multi-state game and that the MM consortium wanted to plan for the future.

  However, if the matrix is not changed, then expect the combination coverage percentage to rise, leading to smaller, more frequent hits rather than large rolls. I would just love to see how they fit any more number selection boxes on the playslips...each play area (pick 5 and mega ball) already has 55 boxes in it and is pretty crowded.

  I disagree. I think once Texas begins selling MM tickets, the jackpot will be hard pressed to pass $100 Million.

  You can disagree, but you're also disagreeing with the statisticians from the Texas Lottery Commission, who stated that they expect the MM jackpot (with Texas included) to exceed $100 million four times per year, and the MM jackpot to reach or exceed $400 million every two to four years.

  And when MM started over a year ago they promissed average jackpots of $300+ Mil and they haven't even cracked $200 Mil yet, let alone average that much. PB has been past $200 Mil twice since they changed.

  I just feel that so many people in Texas will play MM every week that it will lead to more hits, rather than more rollovers.
