  Hi everyone,

  recently I was aksed for tips and tricks on how to successfully use the CRUNCH. There are so many options in that tool that users might be overwhelmed at first and surprised by what they can do with it.  Many saw the success story in the Newsletter and last night s follow-up or the winning tickets in the PICK 3 forum.

  There are many ways of using the CRUNCH, and I want to start putting some of the ways on how to use the tool. I have to start somewhere and the first example is the "220 Draws Method".

  The Basic Idea: The method is using the previous 220 draws to play with. Why 220? Well, there are 220 possible boxed numbers, so there should be enough repeats within a field of 220 previous draws to allow a decent evaluation of that field.

  This version is combining Midday and Eveming drawings and I will use Georgia as an example because I have the list of previous draws available for that state.

  The following example uses the data from the Georgia Lottery Web Site from 6/15 Evening to 2/18 Midday 2004 (top to bottom) 220 previous draws. It is supposed to select the most likley numbers for the 6/16 drawings 024 Midday 589 Evening.

  Filter Selections: /Here are many optional selections possible to further reduce the initial selection
  High Digits: 3,2,1,0
  Even Digits: 3,2,1,0
  Sum Range  : 05,06,07,08,09,10,11,12,13,14, 
              14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22 /being a "NON" sum person I only got rid of the upper 5 and lower 5 sums
  Root Sums  : 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9
  Key Numbers: 0,1,3,7,8 /This is interesting though. As key numbers I select all the numbers that were drawn the day before. 317 and 780!
  Types      : 1 /This is another optional part. I in this case only selected singles, that could be changed!

  Results: 79 /The system recognized 79 different boxed numbers for the 220 draw period!
  Priority : 4 /The Priority Number means how often the numbers happened.

  This last list of numbers should be the focus for selecting numbers to pick. Depending on the budget you might want to reduce those further or play them boxed, or straight in all possible options.

  To finish the example the method found the two 6/16 results (one boxed, one straight) and even the 6/17 Evening boxed. Before using do that back testing, you will be surprised when do ing that with Georgia numbers, the hits are found very often then you can imagine.

  As good as you are you seem to have no idea of the true potential of the "CRUNCH" and how it can be made much better, I have used it several times lately, after not using it at all before and it has greater potential than you know and of course it can be made infinitely better, in certain particular ways, it's too bad that I can't say how without giving away the secrets.

  Lottery programs lack so many features, that I find that a person needs to use at least the following 3 programs "The Crunch", "Pick34 Lotto" and "Lottery Director" and even then you don't get all the stuff that you really need, just about only 1/3, anything else you have to do by hand using wordpad or notepad or pen and paper, but what is a person to do if you don't know programming yourself?

  The creator of a system is always excited to hear that I "seem to have no idea of the true potential" of his or her creation. That happened before in history and will happen again. Thanks a lot for your comments.

  But then "as good as I am" , you have not seen the current updated test version of The Crunch either. It will be released to the members of the Lottery System Development Group first. And that will take a while too.

  The tool was born here, indirectly Webmaster L mentioned that. The tool was created, because I tried to listen to, what people want. My major interest is and was always to create prediction tools and not evaluation and/or reduction tools. But I did that with the understanding that everyone might use the tools I am creating differently, and very likely even in ways that I never would have used them in. That is a good thing.

  The problem is, as you mentioned, that to take an idea, your own that is, and make it into something accessible to others, requires unfortunately still a designer and a craftsman. You might have to open up, spend time and very likely money, if you have something to offer that somebody needs to do for you.

  My systems are there for people to try out (another thing that came out of this forum, I remember Sandy K.  mentioned to me here, that I should allow a test time for the systems, and I implemented that), to play with, to criticize and to use for your purpose. (I just remember how surprised I was a few weeks ago, when Bill from Missouri called me, to tell me that he is successfully using the ZID System for VTRACS predictions. He was right, of course, that works, I never thought of it, nor did Dr. Zid who came up with the idea for that tool.

  Ron plays in the Missouri and they have only one drawing. I still believe though that that combining the two drawings but that is as always worth a separate thread.

  MikeK thank you, the crunch is a Pick 3 "Key" tool for some of the things that It can do, that none of the other pick 3 programs can do, but some of the others also have some of the other missing pieces (P34 Lotto, and Lottery Director), but yours " THE CRUNCH" does one of the two most important tasks that need to be done for the pick3, P34 Lotto does the other and of many of the "less" important or "minor" task, none of the programs do those, they have to be done by hand and therefore takes forever to do them, too bad, but those are the breaks.
  
  Anyhow "The Crunch" is a must and a very important program, for anybody using my methods, together with P34 Lotto.
  
  If you don't believe me ask Pick-4 Master, he is the one
  
  that got me started on my particular prediction method, but then I went at a tangent from his.
  
  I can't wait to see the "NEW CRUNCH", even though I know
  
  that there probably will never be a program that has all the stuff that I need for my system, and it's a good thing I guess, because I can't have everybody using my methods.

   Hello Mike ....glad to see your posts again. As you know I wanted to wait for the next version of the Crunch and promised you I would be first in line. Sure hope it will have the features we talked about as far as separating the last 365 draws . Will the new one go that deep ...or deeper? 

   As far as the separate games data....you know the way I have always approached the game ...as separate draws. I liked the break down of the priority groups. ...but I noticed that it only goes down so far. It list the numbers that have only hit One time.  I think this is very valuable!  I also have a list of all the 6 way numbers on the Ga. Midday list that have not hit at all since Oct 2003.    Believe me .....if a list of hit one time numbers is Great..(and it is) a list of not hit yet numbers is better. Thats what I'm waiting for..... Please

  It is very easy to create a "not hit yet" numbers list with the current Crunch.

  You just add /B+/ in front of your list and you will see all the ones that never hit as Priority one.
