No, my friends, you cannot live without money. In my opinion, money is supposed to complement your life, not control your life! We have heard the saying: 'the love of money is the root of all evil.' Well, let me rephrase that: 'the lack of money can be the root of all evil.' Some people will do almost anything to attain money illegally because of their greed and their jealously.
Quite frankly, just because people play the lottery does not mean people love money (my opinion.) Then again, there are some Evangelical religious zealots and some mainstream Protestants who condemn us because we gamble! Their response is: "The Lord will provide your needs if you will only put your faith and your trust in Him." My response... "is The Creator going to reign down $10 million, $145 million, or $220 million from heaven?" "If not, I will continue gambling!" (Hum, I remember when the Catholic Church had Bingo nights!)
Finally, there are so many good, religious, moral, and giving people who are in financial dire straits, not because of poor judgment or despicable character. Then again, whoever said that life is just or even fair!
