It was recently announced that CA will be looking into a multi-state game. Which game will it be?

I've redone my website. Go to www.dr-ew.com. I kept a lot of the old stuff, and I've added some new stuff. Look for more new stuff in the coming weeks.

In order for California to participate in any multi-state game the Legislature would have to change the state law requiring all lottery payouts to be pari-mutuel. Your guess is as good as mine.

I'm gonna say Powerball because they're already part of MUSL.

If its going to be powerball, then they will definitely have to change the game (in my opinion).
Every "big" state, so far, has joined Mega Millions. I hope they join Mega Millions if they are going to join a multi-state game.

And I am wondering why the game would have to be changed if Ca joined.

As the other poll was closed....lol actually in my view this one is what will it go to. My was on the opinion of what we would vote on.
So, Todd my apologies. (smile) Certainly did not mean to cross boundaries by having two polls on the same subject.
So. Ca poeple voice your opinion of what you would want on here. I wonder if they would give the people in Ca an option to vote. Any opinion?

i think CA would go for mega millions because of the fact that OR, AZ, NM, and ID have powerball while no state bordering CA has mega millions. think of how many people would drive to CA to get tickets when the jackpot gets high.

Thats a very good point. If they want to maximize their profits, they will get MM.

exactly. that is what they want to do, especially at a time such as right now.

Saleswise, CA probably "should" go for MM, but since CA Lotto requires players to choose ahead of time cash or annuity, I would prefer CA sell Powerball.

There were some cryptic remarks at the July Texas Lottery Commission meeting indicating that Texas and California are having discussions about something.
Is a multi-state game involving Texas and California possible??

i doubt it. if CA wanted a multi-state game, it would go for one with more states. it could mean CA will be joining mega millions though.
