Squeeze More Gas out The pumps Tricks

Got this e-mail today at work. These are some good tips,,,,,,,,,,,,

For all of you that hate gas prices. This is good information.
Subject: Maximizing your gasoline

New Gas Tips

I don't know what you guys are paying for gasoline....Here in
California we are also paying higher, up to $3.50 per gal.. But
my line of work is in petroleum for about 31 years now, so here
are some tricks to get more of your money's worth for every gallon.

Here at the Kinder Morgan Pipeline where I work in San Jose, CA
we deliver about 4 million gallons in a 24-hour period thru the
pipeline. One day is diesel the next day is jet fuel, and
gasoline, regular and premium grades. We have
34-storage tanks here with a total capacity of 16,800,000 gallons.

Only buy or fill up your car or truck in the early morning when the
ground temperature is still cold. Remember that all service stations
have their storage tanks buried below ground. The
colder the ground the more dense the gasoline, when it gets warmer
gasoline expands, so buying in the
afternoon or in the evening....your gallon is not exactly a gallon.
In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and the temperature of the
gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum
products plays an important role.
A 1-degree rise in temperature is a big deal
for this business.
But the service stations do not have temperature
compensation at the pumps.

When you're filling up do not squeeze the trigger of the nozzle
to a fast mode. If you look you will see that the trigger has
three (3) stages: low, middle, and high. In slow mode you should
be pumping on low speed, thereby minimizing the vapors that are
created while you are pumping.

All hoses at the pump have a vapor return If you are pumping
on the fast rate, some of the liquid that goes to your tank
becomes vapor. Those vapors are being sucked up and back into the
underground storage tank so you're getting less worth for your money.

One of the most important tips is to fill up when your gas tank is
HALF FULL or HALF EMPTY. The reason for this is, the more gas
you have in your tank the less air occupying its empty space.
Gasoline evaporates faster than you can imagine. Gasoline storage tanks

have an internal floating roof. This roof serves as zero
clearance between the gas and the
atmosphere, so it minimizes the
evaporation. Unlike service stations, here where I work, every
truck that we load is temperature compensated so that
every gallon is actually the exact amount.

Another reminder:

If there is a gasoline truck pumping into the storage tanks
when you stop to buy gas, DO NOT fill up--most likely the gasoline
is being stirred up as the gas is being delivered, and you might
pick up some of the dirt    that normally settles on the bottom.

Illigal Aliens Have It Made

This is an e-mail I recieved from work today that made me sick.

K & F: Interesting Statistics

11. During the year 2005, there were 4 to 10 MILLION illegal aliens that crossed our Southern Border also, as many as 19,500 illegal
aliens from terrorist countries. Millions of pounds of drugs, cocaine, meth, heroine and marijuana crossed into the U.S. from the southern border. Homeland Security Report: http://tinyurl.com/t9sht

12. The National Policy Institute, "estimated that the total cost of mass deportation would be between $206 and $230 billion, or an average cost of between $41 and $46 billion annually over a five year period."   http://www.nationalpolicyinstitute.org/PDF/deportation.pdf

This is a joke. First three day weekend I have had off in a while. Wanted to get alot of yard work done and can't because it is so fricking cold outside. Sunny North Carolina with snow flurries last night. Presently, 11:30 am and is 36 degrees outside with 20 mph gustty winds that make it feel like 29 degrees. All this on April 7.
Al Gore, you can kiss my Global Warming (you know what).Al Gore is the joke.

>Every time you fill up the car, you can avoid putting more money into the

Rush made a good point today

Rush Limbaugh made a good point today about the $350 mil.  relief fund heading to Thailand. Like I predicted earlier, the Democrats tried to start some junk about Bush being tight with only $35 Mil. to start with.  Well, he should be. That's taxpayers hard earned money. There has to be a plan in place for whom will recieve the money and how. I appriciate the fact that he was wanting to be cautious with the money. But, NOOOO, the Democrats and other countries like France ( who really owes the US a debt of graditude) claims Bush is being tight and should up the anty.  That figures.

Now, there are Millions and Millions of dollars heading over to help. But to what???  What is the actual death count ? I remember 10,000, then 20,000, then at last count 150,000 ??? Hmmm Haven't heard a count in days now that all these Millions are committed for relief. HMMM!!! Hey, one Hotel owner in Thialand asked that the reporters report that his Hotel is open and unharmed. The news reports show mass distruction. But the the fact is it was only in the beach line area.  THE POWER OF THE NEWS.  I have a bad feeling that these Millions of our hard earned tax money is not going to be put to proper use. Maybe 50 to 60 % of it but not all. That's not counting all the Millions that the Red Cross and fund drives have collected.   I just have a bad feeling about this.

Blame the quake on Bush ?

Some how, some way, the Democrats and Libs and reporters will find a way to blame all the deaths from the Earthquake out in Asia on Pres. Bush.

Or better yet, they will ask why are we helping people that are in need from a disaster when we have homeless here in the US that need help??  Watch what I say ?  They are just waiting to see how much money is sent in disaster aid and then they will rip Pres. Bush apart.

I'll be glad when the elections are over

I like the member debates here as long as it doesn't cause hard feelings which I feel it has. We all (republicans and democrats) have made good points here on this issue.  Everyone has their own opinion and since this the great old USA we are entitled to that. My opinion is this, Bush beans tastes better than Heinz ketchup.

John Kerry The Anti-Christ (Devil)

Depending on the way you lean, the following innormation could have a

possible anti-Semitism even though Kerry had not seen the film.

Leaders:

anti-Christian, anti-God, anti-family agenda.

     federal judge appointments.

     * Overall Record:
President Bush does not vote on issues before Congress but, based
on his publicly stated positions, would receive an 85% conservative
rating.

John Kerry, according to the highly respected, politically-neutral
National Journal, rates Kerry the most liberal U. S. Senator in 2003
-more liberal than Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton.
