Kickin' back and jammin' to the blues

Published:

Discovered an "electric blues" channel on my internet radio...gettin' blisters on my lips from wailing on the harp...workin' on some Mickey's malt liquor...man, it doesn't get any better than this.  I don't need to win the lottery if every day can be like this.  If they keep playing music like this I'm going to be lipless.

Thank God for life and music!

I'm packing a bag, Rick!! (blush)   Can't imagine a world without music. We might have some deaf members, so I hope I don't offend anyone when I say I can't imagine losing my hearing. That said, I can't imagine losing my sight either. Guess those are blessings we all take for granted, huh? (Sometimes when I'm standing in line at the market I wish I didn't have such a good sense of smell however.)

Nancy, good point...we take our senses for granted. Couldn't do without sight cuz I like to read, no sound would eliminate the music, no touch would take away the sex. Taste and smell I could be OK with doing without (especially with the B.O.) , but that would be a bummer too. Couldn't smell the steak and eggs cooking and taste the sausage gravy and biscuits on Sunday mornings. I guess I just appreciate waking up in the morning so I can come here and hassle folks.

...and you keep packing that bag...I'm getting to be the Iron Chef with the George Foreman grill. I'm trying Spam tonight and you're invited.   ;)

You can tell I've been on the internet too long. When you wrote "I'm trying Spam tonight" the first thought that came to mind was "good thing Rick doesn't have my email address!" ;-)
Right now I'm having a bowl of cereal. Great deal at the market (buy one/get one) so I saved $3.69. When did Rice Crispies become a gourmet food item?

Hi stratman...should have figured the stratocaster from your name. Glad to see there's a few musicians among us. My son plays a Musicman bass and is getting pretty good at it. He's a Les Claypool fan and can pretty much go note for note with him and knows all the lyrics, (which are quite entertaining). I'm just strictly a blues harp player but I can do a few Zeppelin songs like "When the Levee Breaks" but nowhere near as good as that harp player. But we have fun jamming and that's what counts, right?

Thanks for the comment!
