Phone spammers!

Published:

I just wanted to tell you all that the spam callers have stooped to a new low to try to get us to answer our phones...just got one for the first time from a cell phone...it said wireless caller and had a no. I did not recognize so I did not answer so this time they left a message...it was about wanting me to get a warranty for my SUV which they have tried every way there is to get in touch with me by mail and phone....one time I did answer and told them to never call me again but of course that did not work.

Just wanted to tell you about this in case you've not had anyone call from a cell phone to harrass you with spam...well it could have been from a land line phone & they just typed in wireless caller since they can put anything they want there...just now thought of that!

Think I will look up the no. and see if I can find it online anywhere!

I just looked the number up and it is a wireless no. from Winston Salem, NC.

If I wanted any more info I'd have to pay $3.99 & I don't but did find out it was a cell phone.

SO i'll have to look out for them from now on too...that's the first one I remember getting from a spammer from a cell phone.

I was getting a deluge of robo calls even though I'm on the no call list and have been for sometime. NoMoRobo is a paid app for both Android and iPhone which weeds out most where you never hear them ring. If one slips through you can add it to the list with their service.

I am conflicted about capital punishment, esp. living here in Texas. I hate to think about someone dying for some crime they didn't commit, plus you'd think that as a so-called civilized nation, we'd be past such a barbaric practice. That said, there ARE crimes that deserve the ultimate punishment....

....and spammers and robo calls should be included! I would go into specifics about what I'D have done to them, but they truly ARE barbaric.

There's finally been a bill recently introduced to force the phone companies to do something about it. They don't want to stop it b/c they make money off it. I wrote and called my congressman multiple times over the last ten years asking him to look into it, but nothing but crickets from him. That's OK, he's not gotten my vote in ten years, too.

Thanks for the info about the NoMoRobo app Konane!

I'm on the do not call list too and I think they must distribute it for the spammers to call...lol
