Ouch. Whoopsie. That is like hitting the lottery, the bad lottery. Then again he still had his head. So maybe it was the good lottery?

Oh yeah, sand, earthen backing something to absorb the bullet, just for next time, not rocks.

I had to view it a couple times. the ricochet hit's the dirt then his ear muffs. if the bullet had hit him in the head he probably would have died. Got to admit it was a once in a life time shot. looks like they used a steel puck as the target. I wonder how far down range the target was. I guess if i did the math using a stop watch i could figure it out.

That website has a lot of very interesting videos of our troops shooting different weapon's.
And some great shots of A10 tank busters blowing stuff all to hell.

i am not trying to play superman here but you are going to tell the the bullet of a riffle as big as they are hit what a flat surface and made a comple 180 degree turn traveling with the pointed head, and HIT the soil and then hit the guy...they only way i can think it could had travel BACKWARDS is that whatever it hit must had been a rubber band and even so it will had send the bullet spiraling back [not pointing at one direction with one side pointing straight ahead]...That video must have been fake or defies odds or whatever the bullet hit must had something i dont know what it is...And when bullets ricochet they dont rickochet in a exact straight line it came from...i dont know what that bullet hit...anyways do the experiments for you to see it and be sure...
