This is very problematic, ship loses power at least twice.

This raises many questions, this appears almost like sabotage.... I believe that ship was making way too fast for passing under the Key bridge on the Patapsco river.  That ship hit that bridge very hard.

That was one of the two center supports, a massive set of columns on a piling where the bridge has its highest point on the crossing and is widest for ships to sail under....

Looks as if it was made for the movies.....That would really s*ck  having to think what to do after the bridge hits the water while you are inside your vehicle and sinking. Nothing you can do to ever prepare yourself for that kind of catastrophe....Just terrible.

They were saying on the news the ship lost power and had sent a mayday just before it hit the bridge.

NTSB briefing just said the ship was being driven by a local harbor pilot which is normal procedure.
