Before/after...whats the difference?
Actually GM reached its peak in terms of quality in the mid 90's.
Then in the 2000 and after model years they decided that they would build cars like the one in this video.

@Think: you haven't driven a Corvette recently, based on your comment. I don't see what you're talking about in other cars either. Quality has been pretty good from what I've seen.

My 84 Suburban is indestructable, it is a K-20 Silverado, gets 2 gallons to the mile. Just kidding, but we can get 8 adults and 6 kids in it to go the Taco Bell! It has been named the Reagan mobile and the Bush mobile.

@Todd: I had a 1996 GM and now I have a 2002 GM. There is no comparison between the two. The 1996 Was/Is way better. The interior trim on the 02 is way cheaper than the 96 and the trim has gotten even cheaper on the newer ones. When I look at how much they have reduced the quality where I can see it I wonder how much they reduced it where I cant see it. Also my 02 has had numerous recalls and I just got another one in the mail yesterday!
I saw my 96 on the road the other day and talked to the guy that bought it and he told me it has been great and he has only had to replace a thermostat and a strut! I wish I were that lucky with the 02!
I could ramble on about the dozens of problems with the 02 but suffice it to say because of the 02 I wont be getting another GM anytime soon.
