Hate Crime Legislation
Published:
my father went to church tonight and they passed out flyers to everyone about this new hate crime bill.
cliffnotes version....
under this legislation a pastor who teaches that homosexuality is wrong could be accused of a hate crime or charged with 'inducing' a violent crime against a gay person.more importantly it will lead to the criminalization of biblical truth as 'hate speech'.majority leader harry reid has promised to pass this legislation in the next few weeks and the house already has.
sincerely,jim demint U.S. senator

There will be a revolution in this Country in the future.
The government is passing laws that contradict the Constitution and the wishes of the people. It does not have that authority. These laws and debts are null and void. This is a rogue government and we are not required by the constitutional law to obey them.
The debts they are accruing are called odious debts. These are debts incurred by spending that does not benefit the people required to repay the debt. We are not required to repay this odious debt.
Time is running out for ALL states to officially secede from the rogue US government entity. This is the only solution short of the revolution truecritic predicts.
"....There is little evidence that indicates that violent crimes motivated by "hate" go unpunished in the United States. Most states already have criminal laws that prohibit the anti-social behavior addressed by hate crime legislation - including laws against murder, rape, arson, assault, and battery.
I oppose the creation of Federal hate crime legislation for a variety of reasons. First, I do not believe the Federal government should interfere with the criminal laws already on the books in our states. Second, many hate crime bills attempt to establish a "protected class" of crime victims who would receive special protection under the law. And finally, we already have laws to prosecute individuals who commit violent crimes. Those people guilty of violent crimes against anyone should be prosecuted under existing law.

We have seen this happen over the last fifty years. A law meant to correct an injustice in one area soon gets applied all over the place in areas not considered when the law was passed.
Take the Income Tax. When initially enacted it covered only those making over one million a year and the top rate was 3%. Look at it now. This law will be no different.
