Russian Reporter Gives Barack Obama Middle Finger During Live Broadcast

It appears, based on the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the exchange rate of the Euro posted at the bottom of the screen, that the newscast was aired on Nov. 11. The segment was uploaded to YouTube on Nov. 19 and has gone viral over the web.

In a no-nonsense tone, Limanova introduces the segment by saying Medvedev gave a presentation in front of APEC organizers. Then she notes that the Russian president is soon to be taking over APEC leadership responsibilities that were previously held by American President Barack Obama. It's when she says his name that she jabs her middle finger into the air in the traditional obscene salute.

Limanova works for REN-TV, one of Russia's largest privately-owned news channels. The Moscow-based networkhas a purported audience of 113 million.

Looks like we have more in common with the Russkies than we thought.

I wonder if that clip will get played thousands of times on mainstream news broadcasts, like George Bush's Iraqi show-throwing incident.

Let's see how long she'd last making the same gesture at Putin or Medvedyev.
I'm not amused or impressed.

"Limanova works for REN-TV, one of Russia's largest privately-owned news channels" where this kind of gesture is obviously tolerated maybe even encouraged. But just like Time*Treat said I doubt she be on the air very long if she gave the finger to a Russian political figure.

@Todd Looks like this video has caught the attention of at least one so-called liberal media outlet - The Huffington Post. I found it in the Comedy Section :))
