I have a short, special message that I'm sending out this morning to people who write spyware: "Die."
I am convinced that there is a special place in hell reserved for people who create this stuff. Either that, or they will remain in Purgatory forever.
One tiny mistake on my part a week ago, and I'm still trying to get rid of some cancer-like program that is trying to wrestle control of my PC.

I have not purchased this yet because of a spyware program still active but did download and let it scan. Is slow but seems more thorough than many. http://www.webroot.com/consumer/downloads/ Might be able to save you some time for frying bigger fish.
Trend Micro is no longer doing free spyware scans and cleaning but does have a free Cool Web Search Shredder for download. http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
I've been gotten by spyware before and in my book no hole is too deep for them.
