I got your "situation", right here. Canada's population is ~35 million, the US population is ~9 times that. A pile of crap idea scaled up by nine only means ... more flies.
This is what's coming to the U.S.
Availability of services will decrease much faster than the cost of services. That's like a gas station posting cheap fuel prices, but having none at the pump.
While touting Canada's Universal Health Care System, the Ameri-Nanny Statists neglected to mention that "Universal" referred to how far you might have to travel to be seen by a doctor. ![]()

Canadian Doctor Lotteries
Canadians living in rural areas sometimes face long trips to see a family doctor. At least two towns have tried to be fair in assigning patients to incoming physicians by creating "doctor lotteries."

Rationing, shortages, service mandates and regulations impose impossible burdens on Canadian doctors, and create a slow and backward health care delivery system.
