Powerball: Penn. couple collect $10.16 million Powerball lottery jackpot
A couple from Cranberry, Butler County, Pennsylvania received a check for $10.16 million from the state yesterday after winning the Powerball jackpot ticket drawn March 16.
Bob and Patty MacZura had the lone winning ticket for that drawing, which had an annuity value of $18.7 million. The couple chose to take the money all at once instead of annual payments.
They bought their ticket at the Sunoco A-Plus convenience store on Perry Highway in Mars. The store will get a $100,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The MacZuras are the ninth Powerball winners from Pennsylvania since Pennsylvania joined the game in June 2002.
Funds raised by the state lottery, including Powerball, go for prescription drug programs, transportation programs and tax and rent rebates for senior citizens.
