Mega Millions jackpot increased to $265 million
Mega Millions: Mega Millions jackpot increased to $265 million
The jackpot in the multi-state Mega Millions lottery game has grown to $265 million. None of the tickets sold for Friday's $220 million drawing matched all five lotto numbers and the Mega Ball. The next drawing will be Tuesday. There were 20 second-prize winners from Friday night's drawing: 3 from California, 4 from Georgia, 3 from Michigan, 3 from New Jersey, 2 from New York, 2 from Ohio, and 3 from Virginia. Each ticket matched all five lotto numbers but not the Mega Ball number to win $250,000. The California winners will receive $180,325 each, because California does not award fixed prized amounts, like the other Mega Millions states. Also, 116 players matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. The California tickets are worth $7,765 each. The winning numbers from Friday's drawing were: 8, 10, 18, 29 and 33. The Mega Ball number was 10.
The Texas Megaplier was 4.

I dont think that MM is selling that well here in texas. We have very few 2nd prize winners compared to the other states. Other than Cali, we have a larger population than all of them (maybe not ny).

I am going to play but i am not feeling like a winner yet. i think when it hits $300 million i will play more than one dollar. I already have my eye on the $20million dollar NY townhouse. How long do you think I can live there before i go broke? The $39 million dollar NY Park Ave apt with 40k and month in taxes and maintenance sounds good to me. I think i will get a bentley, a rolls, a maserati....I think i am delirious...I would not tell anyone i won. the blind trust is the way to go. How would it look if i said i won money in Las Vegas will i get more respect than saying I am a lotto millionaire?

As my attorney collects my 148 million before taxes, I shall be planning my move (a nice 45' motor coach). After the tax man commeth, (I really hope that the get all that they are entitled to) I plan to disappear. Open roads with no plans and my Harley VRod on the back. I really think I could be gone for a year or so........think the paparazzi can find me? kinda hard to run a big motor coach off the road with a yugo! with that kind of money you could live a goooooooooooooddd life! OK im awake now.........guess I should shower and get ready for work. good luck to all who play.

you know what i think i will collect as a person and not a blind trust. i want to say no to allt he people who did not care for me when i was down and out, i can count the holiday cards i got last december in one hand, i got fewer birthday cards. I want to hire the capital one actor who says no. i think his name is james spader? yes? no? how about this...if you want money you will have to fill out an application and send a processing fee of 99.99? does this mean i am bitter towards family?

I feel so sorry for those of you who have such a poor relationship with your families that you would choose to cut them out of your life if you won the lottery. I don't see my own family often; they live across the country from me. In fact, it had been 12 and 14 years since I'd previously seen some of my own siblings when I last went back for a visit. But for curiousity sake, I just added it up. In contrast to what Trained2beRich said, if by some remote chance I should win this lottery, I'd give my relatives (a total of 20 of them) a total more than nine times the amount I'd expect to spend on myself the first year. And on a yearly basis, I'd gift to family members a total between three and four times the amount I'd likely spend on myself. Of course, I also know that if I chose to give them nothing, none of my blood relatives would ask for a dime. They are just too proud for that. A couple of my relatives by marriage would ask, no doubt, but I'd plan to include them anyway. I see it as just part of the responsibility of those who have more to help those who have less and I feel family should come first.

LMAO, I think that there is just a LITTLE bit of bitterness there , but ya know I am the same way. My family has done me so wrong that I will pick up my check on my way to NO MANS LAND. My immediate family and I will never be found again that is for sure!. Last night I was setting here on my vacation in Mrtyle and was thinking to myself..... and then all of a sudden I seen the glimpse of Night Air, Endless Roads the breeze off the ocean Top down on the car and ANYTHING AND ANYWHERE AT THE TIP OF MY FINGERS!!!! I can feel where I am suppose to be and what I am supposed to be and THAT my friends is THE WINNER OF TONIGHTS MEGA MILLIONS!!!!!! Good Luck to all tonight!!!!!!!

Texas is now second in US population; NY is third. Florida is expected to pass NY by 2010.

Uff Da...you are generous in spirit and forgiving. Before I sit on my soap box is it better to have a chef or own a restaurant or two or three? Now back to Uff Da .... you have a smaller family then mine. although i have one brother(whom i would share) there are 11 aunts& uncles, 30 first cousins and 39 little cousins I can account for(i just calculated it on on 8x11 sheet of paper, although I do not know all their names i know how many kids each cousin has withing a marriage, i am not account for out of wedlock kids. One cousin had 4 kids with the wife and 5 WITH HIS MISTRESS, he has since divorced the wife and married another mistress he had. I have other cousins who have similar scenarios but I have been out of the loop for years now.) Over the years I have sent holiday cards and in the last few years most are too busy to reciprocate or call to include me in family functions such as communions, weddings, birthdays, weddings and baptisms). I do have one that calls me once a year just to talk...she did call me after the hurricane thing happened here in houston so she would be in the sharing pot. You know what I will do one thing for the family...an education trust fund only for undergrad and grad except I will have a 3rd party handle the process... I won $2 dollars today, $7 last thurs ...when will I hit 3 figures!!!
