The Michigan Lottery has drawn the winning numbers for what could arguably be considered its hottest-selling game ever.
500,000 Millionaire Raffle tickets sold out in about one week by players hoping to win $1 million. The tickets went on sale Sunday, November 12, 2006 were quickly snatched up by Lottery players.
Millionaire Raffle has five prizes of $1 million; 10 prizes of $100,000; and 750 prizes of $1,000.
"The rapid sell-out is just what we expected from this new game. We are thrilled that Michigan Lottery players were so excited about the best odds to win $1 million." said Lottery Commissioner Gary Peters.
These Raffles are becoming very popular and some lottery commissions will probably start scheduling them about every 3 months.I wonder which state will be the first to not sell all the tickets before the scheduled drawing date?

Maybe it's my imagination, but, a quick review of the winning numbers in these raffles seems to be weighted to the later numbers.
MI., 61% came from the second half of ticket sold.
MD., 56%
FL., 60%
PA., 51%
GA., 53%
NY., 53%
It would seem to me that at least one of these would have a higher percentage in the lower numbers. Is there a reasonable explanation?
I hate to burst your bubble, but if 50 to 60 percent of the numbers came from the second half of tickets, then 40 to 50 percent came from the first half of numbers.
Given a random effort I would say this is pretty predictable. What planet are you from?
I hope the five prizes of $1 million step forward.

Any reason to think the five prize winners wont ?

As long as the raffle games are computer picked, the chance of tampering with the program is always there...
This and any other computer generated games...
