Lottery declares 'foul' during evening Daily Number drawing
Pennsylvania Lottery: Lottery declares 'foul' during evening Daily Number drawing
Pennsylvania Lottery officials declared a foul during the Thursday night Daily Number drawing. Thursday night's official winning Daily Number combination is 1-7-2. The first numbered ball in the combination, 1, and the second ball, 7, were successfully drawn. The third numbered ball was drawn into the selection chamber but fell back into the mixing chamber when a drawing official prematurely closed the drawing chamber before the ball was fully into position. At that point, a foul was called and the official moved on to successfully complete the Big 4, Cash5, and "mix & match" drawings. After careful review of the drawing tape by Lottery officials, the volunteer senior witness and a Certified Public Accountant, along with TV studio personnel, it was determined that the third numbered ball drawn was a 2. The Pennsylvania Lottery will honor all Daily Number tickets for the nighttime April 12 drawing for 1-7-2 and all boxed combinations of 1-7-2. The Lottery regrets any inconvenience caused by the fouled drawing.

Would you believe me if I said there is another one similar to this one going to happen? I don't know when, but I know it is one of the jackpot games.

It happened already once or twice in nj, on the Cash 5. I remember the machine failed to release the fifth ball and the hostess reached into the machine while looking the opposite direction, grabbed one out, and that became the fifth number. I might even have a screen capture of when this happened. Another time I think a ball bounced out and the lady caught it before it rolled away and tossed it back in or something like that.

That was funny to see on TV. Would like to see a ball get sliced in half by the machine. That'd be amusing.

A similar thing happened with Ohio Classic Lotto a couple of weeks back, the second or third ball got stucked in the drop out chute so the drawing was completed off-air. * What happens most *
* will most likely happen again *

Add Maryland to the list of "Fowls". The same thing happened in Dec. 2000 where they had to pay off on two different numbers for an evening drawing.
