Canada Super 7: Ottawan wins $2.5M in lotteryCarolyn Tweede has become Ottawa's latest millionaire after winning $2.5 million in last Friday's Super 7 lottery.
After buying "a ticket every week, for quite a few years," the longtime Ottawa resident said she discovered Monday that she had finally got a winning ticket, her first win ever.
Mrs. Tweede, 62, said there will be no major lifestyle changes for her and her husband.
"We're just gonna help our kids and invest it," she said.
"We'll maybe take a trip or two," she laughed.
Seven years ago, Mrs. Tweede retired from The Ottawa Hospital, where she worked as a nurse. She plans to continue working at her job in a doctor's office.
