Powerball: N.C. Lottery's Shaheen named president of Powerball groupNorth Carolina Education Lottery Executive Director Tom Shaheen has been elected to the top position of the association that offers the Powerball lottery game.
Shaheen was elected president of the Multi-State Lottery Association's board of directors. His term, which began July 1, lasts for one year.
The association is owned and operated by the 32 member lotteries that comprise the Powerball. The association also sells the Hot Lotto, Wild Card and 2by2 games.
The lottery directors of the 32 member states constitute the association's board of directors.
