Hawkeye, Sweetheart, one thing you must realize is wanting will bring more wanting. Wealthy people often attract more money because it is already in their experience. They are not desperate for it. Desperation, wanting, needing never pulls money to you, it pushes it away. You have to relax and find the wealth in your life already and be grateful for it. Having a sense of ease with money is a sure way to bring more into your experience. When I find myself wanting, I back off and let go. WHo says you won't win the next jackpot thats 400 millions dollars? I don't know if the Powerball and/or Mega Millions is fixed, however I know the last couple of people who have won are used to money. Listen to your intuition and go with it, go with the flow and everything you need will find you. Being wealthy s not the be all end all either. I worked for a billionaire family in Bel Air, CA. And this family was so dysfunctional it was scary. Money can be a blessing and a curse for sure. Ask yourself if you are ready for that responsibility. Do you need money to validate your existence? Perhaps you need therapy to get at a deeper problem. I have never been rich, but I have lived amongst very wealthy people and I have dated a few rich men (lol), and trust me you need to be ready. I hope you are feeling better about this.

Hawkeye, you say that whites view minorities poorly, right? Here is a question I have for you, why do minorities view themselves poorly as well? Although, I am classified as a minority, I do not subscribe to such a term. I believe in hardwork and dedication. My family immigrated to this country as well. They left a lot behind, their loved ones and their positions across the sea, if you will. My parents encouraged hardwork and self reliance. I pushed myself to go to college and graduate school. It was a concious decision to improve MY station in life. Respect, has to be earned. Secondly, to win the lottery is a game of chance or luck. I decided to go through a definite route in life, formal education and forge a career for myself. If you feel insulted, how should people who invested so much in this country, war veterans, hardworkers etcetera, feel about loosing it all?! They lost their homes, dignity and pride and they WORKED for it. Now we have illegal immigrants, decide they want to have the same without putting in the effort? I ask you, how would you like to have your precious kids be denied so much because somebody decided to skip a visa process or overstay their visa? Hmm? How do you think I feel when, my grandson who is a very bright individual, had to pay out of state tuition, being a resident of this country but, someone who isn't, DEMANDS to be given in state tuition? I paid taxes, did they? Even if they say they did, whose bloody social secuity number did they use for heaven's sake?! Whose credit rating did they ruin?! We have bums in this country, I do not deny it, democrats, republican, indendents, tea party, we have good and bad. I tend to subscribe to a candidate who can do a good job. Unfortunately, our current imcubent, is ruffling so many feathers, it gives even fellow democrats heartburn! We have political issues in this country and we have your side pretty much just aiding and abating the notion of your thinking towards politics. I have no problem with the man in office himself but here is one thing somebody should have told him before applying for the job. "UNLESS YOU CAN REALLY DELIVER, REMAIN IN THE SHADOWS" We did not need an inexperienced individual, running the country that was already in pain. That is why offices like these, call for experience, NOT, on the job training.

I'm not black or white. but just a question. if the president was say white(bush) were you and would you disrespect him as you do president Obama. you can't make change when when everyone is against you and wants you to fail because of your race. I won't bother to comment anymore on this because its like trying to run up a slick hill in crocs. tiring and won't get you anywhere. america's view on minorities have changed little since 1960. Interesting Post kyokushin187...........Who said I disrespected OBAMA and I certainly didnt say I want anyone to fail because of their race?? I dont agree with most of the mans policies and how he flip flops on some of his statements like saying he would close GITMO by 2010. (see his statements on YOUTUBE) Last I knew it was still open...Thats a fact !!!......but I didn't agree with BUSH on a number of his policies either.... thats not racist....You and your hawkeye buddy better check the dictionary and learn the difference between the 2 words.....when 2 people disagree on an issue like closing GITMO as promised. That has nothing to do with race...its a matter whether he did it or not..He simply didn't close the base...Race is an issue when its being discussed as a topic not because 2 people cant agree on a matter that has nothing to do with skin color......I feel for ya if you cant decipher between the two.....I hope you have an opportunity to look up the difference between disagreement and racism.....Take good care and drive safely on your next trip to by Powerball tickets Jackpots...Just Average Citizens Keeping Possibilities Open Towards Security

I was thinking the same thing. If black poor kid wins that would be hilarious. And why do black people think all white people have an easy road. It simply is not true. I am lack and I have had a much easier life than some of my white friends.

Here's a bottom line for you: If everyone had good-paying jobs and the economy was in great shape again, and the country was moving its way out of debt, then nobody would be screaming in racist anger when someone of the opposite race won, because there wouldn't be so much jealosy and desperation out there. Jeez lousie, if playing the lottery (or learning who the winner is or where the winning ticket was sold) is going to give you so much grief, then for goodness sake, do something else in your spare time other than playing the lottery. Yeah,..... like Maybe running for President, as an Independent Black/Caucasian/Hispanic/Chinese/Muslim/Koream/Japanese/African canidate who is pro lottery, non-computerized drawings candidate. I have never posted here before but felt the need to reply to this story. There is just something that seems very suspicious about this story. Out of the millions of tickets there were purchased there happens to be just one winner from Newport Rhode Island? sure..... Something smells very strange about this. One person (probably a WHITE PERSON) matched all 6 numbers in the relatively small section of newport Rhode Island out of everywhere else in the country? Something isn't right here folks. If you look at the demographics for Newport Rhode island on wiki If you scroll down to demographics you will see the racial makeup of the city is 84% WHITE people. It is also home to the famous "breakers" mansion. So another certain demographic takes home another gigantic jackpot of something along the range of $120 million cash. Probably some rich white people who didn't BADLY NEED the money!!! I'm so sick of this crap in this racist country.
All you rich white people keep whining about Obama but this is exactly why we need him in the WHITE house. To tax you rich white folks who are greedy and racist. Don't even get me started about how racist the ALL WHITE Tea party and republican parties are. To the person who won this jackpot in Rhode Island. If you're a person of color do good with it by donating to some of the rest of us in this country. If you're white enjoy it while you can, you will soon be a minority in your own country born out of SLAVERY and genocide on Native Americans. Had to get this off my chest. Read the Bible and ask GOD to give you strength while you are walking through the valley of the deads. Whenever you feel hate towards another Being ask GOD for forgiveness.

Glad to be here Dallas! I know, I am sorry for generalizing. However, sometimes it seems like people think they do. And in some ways it's true, but in other ways no so much.

Just crunched a few numbers, say the PB CVO continues to average roughly 62% and records continue to fall this year.
Jackpot of $400M = $248M CVO = $161.2M after 35% Federal Taxes
Jackpot of $500M = $310M CVO = $201.5M after 35% Federal Taxes Jackpot of $600M = $372M CVO = $241.8M after 35% Federal Taxes Jackpot of $700M = $434M CVO = $282.1M after 35% Federal Taxes Jackpot of $800M = $496M CVO = $322.4M after 35% Federal Taxes It's definitely going to be an exciting year for lotto players. :) Those are some mind blowing numbers for sure Kumo. Does anyone have an idea on the kind of interest a winner could earn on such payouts?

I wonder if this person picked the number themselves or did the autopick. If logic is to be followed and all advices that picking numbers that mean a lot to you like birthdays and anniversaries are true, I will say this might have been an autopick. 01-10-37-52-57 + 11 . I had an autopick and missed by one number, I had a 48 as against of having the number, 52. Assuming somebody might have picked months and days and this is far fetched, then that will throw 52 AND 57 out of that combination. However, I could be wrong. I just try to notice things, smaller numbers could have been months and days, and maybe the larger numbers past 31 for the days and past 12 for the months, could have simply been ages or the last two digits of a year that someone might hold dear. Anyway, I use quickpicks, less heartache that way........ . Just saying, we all take chances and we might get it, I am hoping to get all the numbers next time. I shall limit my plays because this is just entertainment with high odds not a weekly paycheck you can bank on......
