  Every time, I learn more and read more, it gives me enough heartburn to last me three lifetimes. I remember a few acquintances of mine who actually BELIEVED in the man's credibility and what he can bring to the table. My but, they are silent now. 2 of them, I remember, enjoyed a beneficial employment before O's entry to the White House, unemployment snug them and now, they are singing different praises on how, they are worse off than beggars! They have gone from a sustainable income to nothing to write home about.

  My only question to them was,

  SATISFIED?! - They let their prejudices dictate whom they chose to vote for. I remember, 4 years ago, their response was...."About time, we voted for someone who looks like us" funny, now he does not even care about their economic dilemma.....How did that work out for them?

*First President to apply for college aid as a foreign student, then deny he was a foreigner.

This one was funny, I hadn't seen it before. This claim is from a fake AP news article citeing information released by Americans for Freedom of Information, a group that didn't exist at the time.  The college aid he supposedly received isn't given to undergraduate students, which is what he was at the time. Also the date on the supposed news report is April 1, 2009...

Another new one I hadn't seen before. In 1977 Obama got his first summer job at Baskin Robins, at the same time he applied for a social security number. When he applied his zip code was 96814, while the zip code for Danbury, CT was 06814. Since 9 is next 0 and we're talking about the days of manual typewriters it's easy to see how a clerk made a common typo mistake. Or the handwriting of a 15 year old left handed kid wasn't the most legible. Take your pick.

*First President to preside over a cut to the credit-rating of the United States.

By this logic John Boehner is the first Speaker of the House to preside over a cut to the credit rating and the Constitution gives power of the national purse to the House of Representatives, not the President. Also if you read the credit agencies reasoning their main issue was dysfunction of our political system, not our ability to pay our debts. And when you had elected congresspeople running around saying how defaulting on the debt wouldn't be such a bad thing I can't say I blame them.

*First President to violate the War Powers Act.

Sadly not the first, also sadly won't be the last.

*First President to terminate America’s ability to put a man in space.

This was actually an action put in place by the prior administration and while a sad day the Space Shuttle was a massive money pit that never met the economies of scale that were promised and the several attempts to create a replacement were also massive money pits that went wildly over budget before they were abandoned. However private industry is working to fill the void and here in the next few weeks the first cargo launch to the space station will be done by a private american company under NASA contract. This should be applauded, not sneered at.

*First President to file lawsuits against the states he swore an oath to protect (AZ, WI, OH, IN).

Not hardly the first administration to file suit against a state. Also the President swears an oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States, not any particular state.

Uh.... other then the President (and arguably the Vice President) there are no elected officials in the executive branch. Some positions require the advice and consent of the Senate, others do not. Also one of the main proponents of this complaint is Karl Rove who was himself Domestic Policy Czar for George W. Bush.

*First President to golf 73 separate times in his first two and a half years in office.

You are really going to attack the guy for a few hours of golf every other weekend? Also did you seriously add up the times spent golfing of every single prior President?

I thought the whole thing was kind of silly myself, though I'm not sure how this is his fault? He didn't nominate himself and had nothing to do with the selection process. IIRC anyone can be nominated by just about anybody.

I believe that it was Ronald Reagan that said Presidents don't get vacations, they get a change of scenery. Obama was on "vacation" 61 days during his first 31 months in office. Yes Virginia, that's 2 days out of each month. At the same point in Bush 43's presidency he had spent 180 days on vacation at his ranch and Reagan had spent 112 at his home in California. Bill Clinton, on the other hand, had only taken 28 days. In fact by the time his 2 terms were over George W. Bush had spent 977 days either at Camp David or at home in Texas, 1/3rd of his time in office.

*First President to have 22 personal servants (taxpayer funded) for his wife.

Umm, the White House has quite a large professional staff of groundskeepers, cleaners, cooks, butlers, etc. Most of them are long term executive mansion staff and serve multiple administrations during their careers.

*First President to keep a dog trainer on retainer for $102,000 a year at taxpayer expense.

First she's dead and isn't on retainer for anyone. Second most of the dog's training was done at the initiation and expense of the Kennedy Family as the dog was a gift from them to the Obama children. Thirdly $102,000 was the trainers annual income from her dog training business, not what she was paid by the President. Not sure where you get taxpayer expense from except perhaps that as President he is paid a salary by the taxpayers?

*First President to repeat the Holy Qur'and tells us the early morning call of the Azan (Islamic call to worship) is the most beautiful sound on earth.

I actually agree with him, it is a beautiful sound. No idea what they are saying, but it sounds cool.

I livr in Illinois, and in 2002, on the heels of 911, we startd seeing these Obama political yard signs. Not being in Chicago, we had never heard of the guy, and the general consensus was, "Fat chance, Osama (Bin Laden), Obama, this gvuy doesn't have a prayer."

Bit of course in Illinois, any one running for any office only needs the Chicago and Cook County yellow dog Democratsto get elected, the rest of us don't exist.

Lol, SSAN? That kind of prooves my point. I just find it much more likely to chalk it up to there being a Connecticut town with almost the exact same zip but off by 1 neighboring digit that its a typo or that people sometimes have sucky handwriting then I am to believing that there was some sort of secret conspiracy to get a 15 year old kid a dodgy social security card so he could work at Baskin Robins.

And I don't have a clue who paid for college for him, nor do I particularly care. I just know that the source of that claim was someones April Fools joke. I'm pretty sure he got loans like most students do but was that all of his college funding? No idea.

He got elected the same way everyone else does, people voted and he got the most. There has never been any proven evidence of any kind of large scale vote fraud in the United States. The system is simply too un-centralized for that to happen. This has been looked into extensively in many states. The evidence is just not there.

I hear ya about Chicago and Cook County, here in Oregon if you don't live in Portland or the other big towns in the Willamette Valley you may as well not send in your ballot.

I'm just so very tired of the personal attacks, and conspiracy theories, and tabloid nonsense, and the questioning of patriotism. Lets assume we all are lucky as hell to live here and that we all want to see this country succeed. Lets disagree based on facts and policy. Lets sit down and reason together. Chart a middle course that we can all live with. That's what the founders intended. From your thoughts I would guess that you're fairly young and idealistic, which would make some of your reasoning understandable.

But that last sentence of yours that I highlighted in yellow speaks volumes.

Because if you honestly believe that the administration currently in the White House doesn't hate this country, you're living in a parallel universe where up is down and down is up.

The truth isn't what you want it to be, it just is what it is.

And your last five words - "we'll be in real trouble" - were in the wrong tense.

 I don't remember him ever saying he NEEDED a billion dollars, he WANTED to be a billionare to have the capital to really do some good. You should do a little research nexttime, you look at an informatiobn box everytime you sit down at your pc.

No PB winner and another $10 million increase to the annual payout. LOL, this is going to be a loooooooooooooooooooooooong  series of rollovers to reach a $100 million mark, should noboy win in between.

At $70M and $10M rollovers, it should be there in 3 more draws or sooner.

Assuming it keeps rolling the next bump should be to around 85M. With the sales from the coming drawing the jackpot pool will be fully funded and they won't be doing the minimum raise anymore.
