I had a debate with a family member about the lottery ..... If I won the lottery , turn in the ticket , (after all paperwork is done etcc ) do you get a check afterwords ? I say you do , my family member says No . What is the Real Answer ...........Thank you ....... | | |

Hmmmm...any expert will tell you to higher a lawyer or tax consultant...i would take the check..question is "where/which bank to deposit" and how distribut to your family or do you buy a houses/cars ect.. and sell it to them for a $1? | | |

The real answer is that your "family" member will cash and deposit the check before you ever see it. I second that notion!! Technically tell your family you will get a REALITY CHECK and deal with the money as you dern well please :) Yes in some states they actually DO regulate by check.
