so you advocate remaining anonymous and not sharing it at all. as soon as you share any of it people will find out. they couldn't keep quiet about it. what does the winner do, say i'll give you 50k but you can't tell anyone that i won. you can't have it both ways. either you do what this kansas greed ball did or you disclose and share. what would you do. fabre98, Yeah I advocatre remaining anonymous. Just do a search on these forums, "anonymous" and see what you do and don't find. Try Abraham Shakespeare. He won a jackpot and is no longer with us because of a "greed ball". You assume the person "is not sharing at all". You don't know that but it sounds like you wan to be a leech who benfitds from some of the sharing. And speaking of "greed balls", anyone who can't stand someone who wins 1/3 of a record breaking jackpot and stays anonymous isn't a greed ball, but some sline untermensch who can't stand that person remaining anonymous is. Not only are you a chooch* and a mooch you are just another liberal entitlement freak. May you hit a jackpot some day and have thousands of people just like you with their hands out. _________________________________________________ I'm sure fabre98 knows what a chooch is, but for thoklse who don't every Italian family has a family "chooch". A chooch i s someone who just can't make it and survives by putting the bite on other family members. When all states allow winners to remain anonymous some clod will want a press conference.

i believe if the price of friendship is giving someone3 large sums of money, and they are willing to say good bye over it, then they are not my friends. good bye. Some of the posters here screaming "annonymous is no fair!" make me laugh. Much like those who are for a big estate tax (then change their tune when they come into money), their opinion would immediately be different if they won any lottery money.

You missed the point and obviously did not read any of the posts. What is not fair is having some states that allow you to be anonymous and others that don't. This is stupid and not a level playing field. When I win I don't care who knows, but I am not exactly going to advertise it either. But give me the same option any other state.

They can talk all they want. When I win I'm wearing a mask because I live in Illinois. No one other than the Kansas State lottery and their family and friends know who these people are so they can live peace.

Safety should be number one in everyones book . Give the Winner a Choice !!!!!!!! All 50 states should go anonymous . I know those states already are .

If you want to retire with millions and have a quiet life.. Earn it. If you win out of pure luk it should be known publicly. If you can't handle the attention maybe don't play. Stick to your local smaller jackpot games.
Truth. I agree with your entire post.

No one other than the Kansas State lottery and their family and friends know who these people are so they can live peace. right, sure. all these family and friends are going to keep their mouths shut. eventually or in about 7 minutes everyone in town will know and within 7 hours everyone in the state will know. there goes their anonominity right out the window. it would be the same for you so you might as well get it over with and not go through the hassle of claiming it anonymously. and anyone who thinks friendship will be the same if you keep your money to yourself is delusional. "true friends" will harbor resentment and jealousy eventually. you will begin to see less and less of them.
