$500 MILLION: Powerball jackpot increased to a half-billion dollars

I agree that it'll b around the 600 mark by draw time... But my assumption is that it'll roll one more time just to make records!

If it were to go up to 600, with last drawing being at 325, that's a jump of nearly 100%. Then if it rolls, this Saturday it would be at more than 1 Billion dollars.

Odds are that it won't roll though with the majority of all possible combinations of numbers being played by tomorrow night. Sure it could happen, but odds are against another roll.

I just emailed this to lottery post, so they can correct the time frame  -

"Early Sunday morning, just after midnight Eastern Time, USA Mega announced the new record Powerball jackpot of $425 million after nobody won in the Saturday evening drawing. Now, just 36 hours later, the jackpot estimate for Wednesday's Powerball drawing has been raised to $500 million, with a lump-sum cash option of $327.4 million."

That should be 60 hours later, not 36 hours later. 

Its growing so fast they han'nt had a chance to upgrade the tv add,

 just seen it a minute ago,

 still advertiseing $425 mil.

I already have 2 tickets. I will buy one more at the eleventh hour tomorrow.

At 9:30 pm I shall get that last ticket and it will be a quick pick with powerplay.

And I will refrain from checking it until after they have announced the results and the winners by state listed.

i wonder if this stupid cutoff time might account for about 100 million in lost sales.

Varies from state to state. In FL, the cut-off time is 10 o'clock.

In MA the cutoff time is 9:50 pm. I think it varies by state.
