I do believe in getting "BETTER ODDS" Thrifty......... Ronnie, I went shotgun on powerball with a $20 powerball quick pick ticket. I did not win anything on it, but I won $24.50 on a $2 take 5 quick pick.The take 5 ticket had the number 5 at the beginning of line A and B, but I still won $24.50. I do not feel so bad about losing on powerball because I won it back on New York Take 5.

You are incorrect. Even though, the selected white balls were all below 31, as you have correctly noted; the pool from which the white balls were selected remained at 59 The mathematical formula for choosing 5 balls out of 59 with no regard for the order of selection and repetition is not allowed is as follows: n!/((n-r)!(r!)); where n is 59, r is 5 and ! stands for factorial. The total combinations possible is 5,006,386 I am curious: what was the formula and rules that you used to come up with 158,000 possible combinations? Wouldn't that be 79,000 possible combinations if you spent $158,000?

I usually buy a single line on MM and PB because it takes balls to lose playing shotgun man. It does not feel good to lose $20 in one shot. I am just too cheap.

Aye, I'd imagine the same folks that I saw buying tickets with huge stacks of 20's on the March $656M jackpot did the same this time around, I just hope that wasn't money reserved for food or Christmas.

I SET A LOTTERY STOP LOSS LIMIT TO MINIMIZE MY LOSSES.
