I think it's pretty evident that we may have to bring back public flogging in the town square until we get this straightened out. There's just too much controversy. Flogging always seems to calm people down so they can keep things in perspective. | | |

Well, butch2030, as of this article, and some of the past "Nay" votings that you included above, I'd surmise that this 'Congressor' votes on behalf of lenders and banksters [don't let a low credit score be enough punishment, stop short sale house sale incentives, mainly decline Freddie Mac HAFA short sales requests yet don't tell homeowner reason/real reason why(it's not okay for Freddie Mac to indicate purchase offer is $29K too low if the interior of the house shows it was very reasonable offer, etc.]. I think there is bigger waste of taxpayers money made and being spent by the pollies and public service. how ever much welfare is spent on lotto, it is dwarfed by the amount misspent by GOV in jut 1 day, than a whole years worth of welfare recipients. stop harrassing the little guys, and go after the big spenders. Yep, and accepting the bate to enter wars that rather than spending big off income tax payers for 2 years, require spending big for over 11 years, thus bankrupting our country a few years ago; just as the foreign wealthy instigators probably planned!

SC checks to see if winner received any state/public assistance (welfare, food stamps) or has outstanding student loans and takes the money from the winnings before the winner is paid. NC could do the same thing. This reads fair, zephbe, as long as the lottery headquarters only checks and withdraws these monies for an individual who wins over $250K gross. If yes, welfare programs and food stamps are instantly ceased, yet individual not required to pay back government for monies received and probably already spent when they had lower income before the lottery's claim form was submitted.
