$215 Million jackpot is the highest in almost two years
The jackpot in the multi-state Mega Millions lottery drawing grew to $215 million Wednesday.
None of the tickets sold for Tuesday's $177 million drawing matched all five lotto numbers and the Mega Ball. The next drawing will be Friday.
The new jackpot is the highest Mega Millions jackpot since The Big Game was changed to Mega Millions on May 17, 2002. On April 16, 2002 three winners, from New Jersey, Georgia, and Illinois, claimed a $331 million Big Game jackpot, making the current jackpot the largest in almost two years.
There were 22 second-prize winners from Tuesday night's drawing. Each matched all five lotto numbers but did not match the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $175,000.
Also, 70 players matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $5,000.
The winning numbers from Tuesday's drawing were: 2, 8, 34, 36 and 52. The Mega Ball number was 21.
