You win the mega millions $163 million on tuesday.
Unfortunately, that Illinois winner was not me. Streamwood is a suburb of Chicago and I live in Morrison, which is only 13 miles east of the Mississippi. However, it is nice to see someone from Illinois win a MM jackpot for once; that has not happened in over five years.

Why do people try to justify their desire to win the Lottery?
I can't find it now, but I read a news article about a couple somewhere east of the mississippi - maybe on the eastern seaboard - who won the lottery and tried to tithe to their church. They were denounced as sinners, the tithe was refused, and they were ostracized in their community. Many Christian churches DO believe gambling is a sin. Mormons also believe it's a sin.

New States on the PB/MM Block
Mississippi has the Nevada mentality towards lottery so far- casinos but no lottery. Doesn't really make sense. The casinos worry that the lottery will take away from them but there are states with both - and both do well.

ark-miss-ala combine to form one lottery
Ca lotteryguy...well I live in Mississippi but I do not keep up with Politics at all..but I will take a stab at WHAT I think I know..back in the very late 80's very early 90's the casinos showed up and they had to go out in the gulf so far before they could gamble if I am not mistaken..I think they were doing pretty good so the state allowed them to do DOCK SIDE gambling..those huge Barges were anchored to the dock sitting in the water..then one after another one opened up and next thing I think

ark-miss-ala combine to form one lottery
Alabama, Arkansas, and Mississippi probably won't start lotteries as long as Lose for Life is around. Lotto South never added any states; I can't see anyone else joining Lose for Life.

where do you purchase lottery tickets
yeah lotterybraker plus the casinos in mississippi would fight a lottery because they would lose potential income because of it.same for arkansas because the horse and dog tracks would fight it there......
