Is the lottery rigged?
I agree, always said if enough people have the correct number, the system identifies that and the numbers are changed. When you purchase your tickets it's placed into a computer system, which means the information is recorded, once recorded now I can Manipulate the information. Hence the cut off times for most lotteries. we call it chance!! Ill still have some people win but again I already know that because I've Manipulated the information. Hence why everything is done by computers. N

getting back to an old topic RNG controlled
About your statement, They would need to use a device based on atomic decay or some other random physical process before I would accept that they are random. , don't fall into that trap! The lotteries generally use very good random number generators these days, many of which use the atomic decay thing. But that's not the point. It's the lotteries' trap to get you arguing about how good the RNG is. The problem is that it is a computer program, and as we've all witnessed with the biggest lot

Anyone else hate that some states won't let winners remain anonymous?
How would that be any harder than a lottery official hiring a person to claim a prize? Just because you see a person give an interview doesn't make the process of transparency any more legitimate. It all comes down to the auditors and the IT personnel. Those are the ONLY people that stop the lotteries from being a free-for-all scam. If you rely on a name and photo to give lottery winners legitimacy then you're incredibly naive. I know that I'm privy to a lot of things the general public isn't wh

When was the last time a double , triple, quad was hit in the pick games?
I could look for ex in PA pick section to see. But I know that there are a million people on here as well and maybe another member could look to see. I want to see something of the date it was drawn. I do remember the scandal back in the 80's with two dudes and I think they put water in the balls or something. Not sure if in the pick 4 games anything but I do know 777 has been drawn. I just want to look at something.

Iowa Lottery CEO Terry Rich answers your questions
Good evening Mr Rich, Before finding out about the scandal, I used to play Hot Lotto (with the sizzler) twice a week, every week. I won't reveal how much I was spending. I will just say it was a lot! I feel extremely let down and cheated. What are The Lottery Officials doing to re-gain public trust? Have the stopped using computerized drawings yet? Thank-you!

Iowa Lottery CEO Terry Rich to answer your questions on Lottery Post Monday evening!
I can also tell you personally that I sat down with Terry this past summer at the NASPL conference in Seattle and spoke with him privately about the computerized drawing scandal, as well as a few other topics. I was impressed with his genuine interest in what Lottery Post members and visitors thought about this important topic, and he stressed the importance of Lottery Post itself, in how it allows the lotteries to hear and understand what lottery players think and feel about the lottery indust

How is this not a massive fraud by the Florida Lottery?
Interesting they changed the page, but didn't post any explanation. The reduced number of prizes could have just been simply a glitch. Or, perhaps, the Florida Lottery frequently quietly reduces ticket quantities / number of prizes, but for whatever reason that one slipped though. There's very little transparency regarding ticket manufacture, distribution, prize allocation, security, etc - a mystery leaving open many avenues of abuse... Often there's little outside oversight of lotteries. In

Now accepting Bitcoin payments
Bitcoin is not without its risks and scandals. I've been following the Mt. Gox Bitcoin scam/scandal/hack/etc and this illustrates one problem for Bitcoin. From the wiki: Mt. Gox was a Bitcoin exchange based in Tokyo, Japan. It was launched in July 2010, and by 2013 was handling 70% of all Bitcoin transactions. In February 2014, the Mt. Gox company suspended trading, closed its website and exchange service, and filed for a form of bankruptcy protection from creditors called minji sais

Guess date/ time.
Side note of a side note: I agree that Pete should be in, but to me an even bigger example is Shoeless Joe Jackson. Third highest career Batting Average of all time at .356 and in the World Series games that he supposedly threw in the Black Sox scandal, he hit .375 and set a record for number of hits. I guess the only thing you can say is, You should see him when he's NOT trying to throw the games. It's a sham of a travesty of a mockery of a sham.
