So if I ever win a jackpot...
Or any permanent resident wins a lottery... I heard about a story of a lottery winner who requested a citizenship right after his jackpot winning. And he got it right away. Will the US government give a citizenship to people with some extraordinary situations like that? Have you guys heard of such kind of stories?

Feedup? Contact your state lottery
My lottery consumption is less than last year. The odds are a contributing factor, also the majority of winners in NY, are in NYC, numerous second place MM winners are in NYC, in fact two MM jackpots were won in NYC. The NY Lotto which has a pari-mutual second place prize, and the jackpot are consistently being won in NYC. Everytime I see a winner in NYC, its just another nail in the lottery coffin. I love playing the lottery, lottery stories, I can't get enough of it. I love t

Formula for not winning lotteries
However, I find it very intriguing, to say the least, how almost every Powerball winner listed on the Powerball website picked quickpicks. I must say there were 2 who didn't and played birthdays etc. I'm only halfway through the 2003 winners' stories though. One lady said she usually plays the same numbers but she is going to properly thank the store clerk for offering her a quick pick option! Just once I would love to see someone (namely me )who states the following: I'm a jackpot game fre

Why It Is Important to Remain Anonymous.
Thanks for your reply nclottoplayer I spent years reading stories of lottery winners, and I believe that anonymity is the way to go, not only for financial security but also for the protection and privacy of the winner.

powerball winner David Edwards
So let me see if I get this straight:You are his sister-in-law. You claim that he is broke and on the run. And yet despite being broke and on the run...he is sitting there with you...even though (you say) he doesn't consider you to be his sister-in-law...and your offer to tell us crazy stories about him and his wife was really nothing more than Dave's well intentioned attempt to give us wannabe's the benefit of his advice.OK...I'll buy that. Now let me give Dave the benefit of my advice:If you'

Planning On Winning A Jackpot?
I have a questionSuppose you claim your prize. It will take at least two weeks to get the full amount of money. But do they give you some of the money up front so that you can get out of town and rent a car, those type of things. And besides, during those two weeks you are waiting, couldn't someone try to convince the lottery to give them the money instead. Like, what if a greedy relative called up the lottery and tried to convince the lottery that he/she was authorized by you to take the mo

Jackpot Winner Anonymity poll...
I'm just an average guy like most lottery players as is most people. I've been playing the lotteries for a long time and I've read many stories about people who've won a big jackpot and seen some of them on TV and never had any desire to associate with any of them. If I don't associate with them before they win a lottery jackpot, I have no reason to associate with them afterward and I would expect others to feel the same if I was a lottery winner. Having your picture taken holding the jackpot

Those who win a lottery
I was just thinking that no matter how hard we are working on finding the way to win, jackpots are usually won by lucky 'lottery-strangers' who just stopped by to buy a ticket with random numbers without any predicting and calculating stuff. Did anyone ever hear of any winner who actually hit the jackpot using his 'strategy'. Almost all the stories say that it was pure luck and often the numbers were even randomly picked by the machine.I guess if anyone ever create a system of how to win, then l

biggest jackpots ever
To paraphrase the cliche, the higher you are the harder the fall. His downfall is unfortunate. I am pretty sure that he never thought that he would become one of those lottery horror stories, but alas, money seems to do that to people who cannot control themselves. As for the replacement for Jack as the biggest single jackpot winner, I would like to be the one to claim that title, especially if MM keeps rolling over and I hit the JP on the first drawing that includes CA! Of course, I plan to b
