more info on Lotto South
IMHO there are a few problems with the Lotto South:1. The name: why call it Lotto South? What if a Northern or Western state wants to join? Will people in those states want to play Lotto SOUTH?2. 6/49: if LS expands to too many states, with the increased player base, people will win the jackpot before it gets a chance to grow very large. They'll have to change the number pool or add a money ball or something. I thought the point of the thing was to replace the states' lotto games, not be another

RE: PB/MM cheating you?
You are cheating yourself by buying a ticket with the Jackpot vampires . Look at how many times your state actually wins the PB or MM jackpot. Using Michigan as an example you can see that we get the jackpot here once per year on average(sometimes 0, sometimes 1, sometimes 2). Since the Multi-State game started here in Michigan, there have been smaller jackpots on the in-state game with jackpot winners way fewer and way further between. Take last year (2007) for example. Michigan did

Can Anyone Beat the ODDS ? Pick 3..... Using a 365 draw Game. The odds say..... If you want to hit at least one single Box number//// ONE TIME per Week....... you should play at least 25/30 plays per game. That's 210 plays per week. This ONE HIT per week would be the NORMAL expected hit rate ....using around 30 plays per game. If you think you can do better than normal ........and that you are the one that does better than once a week here ya go. If an

$1000 a week for life? So what
After reading this thread I just had to get some Win For Life tickets last night but I only matched two numbers and didn't win anything. Win For Life is a multi-state (Kentucky, Georgia, and Virginia) game where they draw 6 numbers from a pool of 42 (6/42) and then draw 1 more number as a bonus ball. It's not matching any 6 numbers out of the 7 drawn because the bonus ball is not used for the grand prize, but if you match any 5 numbers plus the bonus ball, you'll win $52,000. The payments for th

Observation of Lottery winners
Do you have some graphs or charts showing this? If not, try to map an x on a map and visually provide some details(digital/paper). Is it your state game or multi-state game?

Will the States Pic 3 and Pic 4 games remain unaltered?
Mega Millions began on August 31, 1996 as the Big Game with the exception of the jackpot the prizes were smaller than comparable lotteries. but the big jackpots drew alot of attention and revenue. soon a 5/49 1/25 game grew into a 5/52 1/52 and now it is a 5/75 1/15. they added a multiplier to increase the ticket price. those crafty lottery officials increased the odds by adding numbers to the bet pool time and time again in order to reduce payouts. adding insult to injury they reduced the prize

Something definitely wrong with this lottery payout..Yikes.
They like to call MM a multi-state game, but actually, it's 45 separate state games which use the same numbers and pool funds for the jackpot.

Powerball is kicking it up-10 millionaires were made tonight!!.
Hoping isn't going change a thing. I think both multi-state games are interested in pushing the envelope of what players will put up with before they stop playing. Once that point is reached, they will step back and redesign the game to something similar to what they had just before reaching that point. That's what happen in Ohio with their $2 Lot'O Play game with a 6/100 matrix. After a year they came out with Classic Lotto(6/49) for $1.
