Deleting Blog entries
I've moved this post to the Discussion forum, because we really want to keep discussion in the Pick 3 forum related to Pick 3 topics, rather than general-interest topics like this. As the rules say, please post to the right forum. On the Blog entry question, yes, you can delete a Blog entry, but only within 20 minutes of posting it. Those are the same parameters as the forums. At Lottery Post, everything posted, whether in a Blog or in the forums, becomes part of a historical record, and that hi

mega millions and powerball poll
Quote: Originally posted by golotto on March 27, 2005I personally hope Powerball hits $400 Million first and it certainly can happen, but once we reach $314.9 million, the national and international media headlines of New Record Pb Jackpot Up for Grabs will stoke the fires of an already existing feeding frenzy for tickets. The resistance level for a roll-over beyond the old single recipient record will undoubtedly be substantial as those who don't usually participate or have never played Power

Legal Entity....lawyer
When you hire an attorney, that person is your legal representative, so they would be able to claim it for you. (You would still have to sign it). If you are claiming in the form of a trust, then the trust must have an administrator (probably you). I would think that the administrator would have to sign the ticket. I doubt that lottery officials are sworn to secrecy because in most states your name and city of residence will become public record once you claim the jackpot. So anything that's par

Jack Whittaker in trouble with law!
...but on a more serious note, on the evening of December 25th, 2002, I remember buying my tickets for the drawing. Am I sad that a portion of the four dollars that I spent on that drawing went to Jack Whittaker?...not really. I took a chance that evening, just as I do for every Powerball drawing. I don't know what the future PB jackpot winners will be like or how they will spend my dollar contributions. I simply continue my part (feeding the jackpot pool) thinking that someday maybe it'll be my

computers record the combinations played
Quote: Originally posted by four4me on December 24, 2004Why do they record the combinations played? This is the explanation that was given on the public television show I saw. The lottery records all transactions to there main terminal. One main reason is if people woke up one morning and everybody started playing say 1111 for midday because they all had the same premonition that 1111 was going to come out. And 5/6/7 thousand people or more all played that number. The pay out would be astronomica

WHO is going to show you how to win w/ positive R.O.I. Long term
Just my two cents. Players and predictors have different values. Most players just want someone to give them numbers to play and predictors want to master creating the best strategy possible. A predictor is only as good as their track record. I don't know any predictor besides myself that post their stats. With the way the lottery post stats page is set up there is no way to tell who is the best predictor is. You have to go back and look at the history of their post. If I'm going to

Is it possible to create an algorithm that combines number by greater or lesser weight?
Blockchain is a decentralized, distributed and public digital ledger that is used to record transactions across many computers so that the record cannot be altered retroactively without the alteration of all subsequent blocks and the consensus of the network.

How soon till the next $ Billion $ Jackpot?
Whith the annuity value at 292 mill after saturdays rollover it still is not listed in the top 25 JP in history but the cash value of 191.9 mill is now up to #21 on the cash value list. If there are no winners in tonights drawing then i look for it to really start growing at a fast pace. When the record was set in Jan it was sitting at 302 mill and it only took 4 rollovers at that point to set the all time record.

How soon till the next $ Billion $ Jackpot?
The record jackpot was in the top percentile so from a probability perspective, we would only expect to see a couple jackpots per year near this level. Would be nice to see back-to-back record cycles but not likely.
