Paying a jackpot over 26 years is too long of a time frame
It's sort of like politics! LOL People often vote for the guys who talk the talk and have the most charisma. But not in Ohio, Texas, and Rhode Island yesterday.

Should one play if they have others feeding them
It is a touchy subject. Worse than politics.

When did you first become interested in the lottery?
Funny story (well, maybe). I'm from Georgia, and when Florida started a lottery, people in Georgia went crazy. I knew of people in my home town who would drive 90 miles just to buy Florida lottery tickets! And then Georgia started to consider a lottery, and at the time, I was dead set against it (I thought it a sucker's way to raise revenue). I had just started a new job, and it was the highest paying job that I had ever had at the time. But after being on the job for a few years and getting use

Maryland Raffle Sales End? OK When is the Drawing?
Thanks 44moi, I knew sales were cut off at 6:00 but was unsure of the draw time. MD does such a lousy job of communicating with their players. I belong to the VIP Club and it's like pulling teeth to get any info. Maybe it's time for Buddy to go back to State Politics and leave the lottery to professionals to run.

Nominations for best 2006 LP post
All the Bush rants appear to be off topic. Are you guys saying that if you wanted to come up with the best post on Lottery Post in 2006 it would be about politics? Excuse me for finding this a little strange, but this is a LOTTERY FORUM. That's why I keep political statements in my BLOG. Would someone like to continue this by actually posting something lottery related? Might be nice for a switch.

Hoosier Lottery Does It Again
That's why I do not play in the stores in Indiana. Hate to EVER bring this up in any conversation, but the Hoosier Lottery is all politics. Same as the gambling boats down here on the Ohio River. THEY decide where the money goes, etc. I just checked on the Florida website to see how many winners are listed on the pick 3. Here is from yesterday, Jan. 15 for Florida:CASH 3 WINNING NUMBERSCURRENT PAYOUTNUMBER OF WINNERS6-6-7$190,770.001,373 1373 winners from their pick 3 drawing....... wha

New law to end internet gambling soon !
Exactly. The laws are already in place. Much like other laws regarding the Internet, the laws mean nothing if they cannot be enforced. Something being illegal, and that same illegality being enforceable are two different things. And let's face it...with all the prisons and the court system as packed as they are, law enforcement is going to look at online gambling as one of their lowest priorities. They got real crooks to catch. For crying out loud, there are prisons all over the place releasing

Mistakes
Keeping the title short helps. All those words the writer didn't use up in the title are fair game for text inside the book.Large print helps. Lots of diagrams and pictures of QP tickets and balls with numbers on them.Convenience store ettiquite might make for a chapter.Anecdotes about all the fine people the author met standing in line to buy quick picks, all the garbage cans he's dug in for mistakes and what other stuff he found while he was digging might make a chapter.A guy could digress a

California & Mega Millions
There is no way cali is leaving MM. There is just too much money at stake. The two parties (Dems and Repubs) aren't fighting over whether or not to have MM, they are fighting over who gets the final credit for having MM. It's politics 101 - try to make your opponent look back even when you agree on the issue. Both parties want MM. The repubs want credit for bringing in MM, and the Dems want credit to saving MM after the repubs brought it in illegally. That's why the Dems have introduced new bill
